MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Conduct market research, customer mapping, and competitor benchmarking to identify new opportunities
  • Prepare technical presentations, proposals, and business cases to support commercial activities
  • Collaborate with R&D and Technical Service teams to translate customer needs into solutions
  • Support the updating and development of the division’s technology roadmap by tracking trends, identifying technology gaps, and proposing innovation areas
  • Support the development and tracking of a structured new business development (NBD) pipeline, ensuring timely updates and prioritization
  • Contribute to special projects including new product launches, customer trials, and operational improvement initiatives
  • Assist in M&A activities such as market scans, data gathering for due diligence, and post-deal integration support
  • Develop and maintain project tracking tools, dashboards, and progress reports for leadership visibility.
  • Actively participate in learning activities to enhance technical expertise, business understanding, and project management capabilities
  • Periodically exchange with Global Business and Business development teams to share experiences, information on new developments at global accounts and favour cross-fertilization between regions, markets and BU

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Technical field is preferred (Chemistry, polymer, Engineering); MS or PhD is a plus.
  • 0–2 years of experience in business development, technical sales, application engineering, consulting, or related internships/co-op programs
  • Strong technical foundation with an interest in commercial strategy, innovation management, and customer engagement
  • Analytical thinker with excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • High initiative, curiosity, and passion for learning across both technical and business domains
  • Team player able to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, international environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Internship or early work experience in adhesives, specialty materials, chemicals, or advanced industrial sectors preferred
  • Familiarity with MS Office, CRM systems - Salesforce, LinkedIn, project management tools, and market research platforms preferred
