JOB DIMENSIONS
General purpose: Position provides technical guidance and support for all data management and data mining functions involving data analysis across all sites in AMAS as well as executive level reporting.
Position independently handles system configuration, development, troubleshooting issues, user access, dash boarding, and collaboration with business counterparts.
Alignment with regional strategic guidance and assesses opportunities to align globally.

SCOPE
This position supports the technical landscape for Manufacturing, Process Technology, Research & Development and Health & Safety (EHS).
This role will cover technical application development and enhancements for MES Data Historians, OSI PI, Aspen Tech, AI-Machine Learning analysis as well as other future technology requirements

ACTIVITIES

Data Integration Management (50%)

  • Serve as a technical advisor as follows:
  • Partners with internal clients to gain an expert understanding of key data points, business functions and informational needs. 
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to define requirements for building and maintaining supporting tools for data lakes and various data strategies for business integration.
  • Explains technical considerations at related meetings to internal clients and less experienced team members. 
  • Responsible for all phases of solution development as follows:
  • Translates business specifications into design specifications and code. 
  • Builds requirements to identify the most suitable source for data that meets regional and global business requirements.
  • Assists with analysis of data elements, systems, data flows, dependencies, and relationships to contribute to conceptual, physical, and logical data models.
  • Build strategies to support data ingestion timing for real-time versus scheduled extracts.
  • Participate in the gathering requirements for ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, database  systems designs, and tool development for real-time and offline analytic processing. 
  • Performs initial data quality checks on extracted data.
  • Assists with analysis of data-related system integration challenges and proposes appropriate solutions.
  • Ensures all code is well structured, properly documented, easily maintainable and re-useable.
  • Troubleshoots software and processes for data consistency and integrity. 
  • Integrates data from a variety of sources for business partners to generate insight and make decisions.
  • Creates test cases to review and validate the solution design.
  • Conduct research and test new technologies that could enhance the data lake and its business use cases.
  • Recommends small to medium solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchased alternatives.
  • Apply automation and innovation on new and on-going data platforms for those development projects aligned to business or organizational strategies.
  • Implements processes aligned to data management standards, ensure data quality and requirements are embedded in/adhered to within system development deliverables.
  • Supports and follows Data Services Policies, Procedures & Standards.

Implementation (30%)

  • Detailed Specification (Waterfall): 
  • Detailed requirements
  • Assists with detailed gap analysis (for software package or SaaS solution)
  • Test cases & campaign specification 
  • Run Functional Acceptance Tests campaigns. 
  • User/ Administration manual writing 

Build to Run (10%)

  • User support design & roll-out: 
  • Error handling and data quality processes within pipelines and processes
  • Support instructions for Helpdesk 
  • Self-care forms implementation on ServiceNow
  • Coordination of the roll-out & change management actions

Application Support (10%)

  • Perform user support (Level 2 & 3) 
  • Incident management
  • Delivers maintenance and support including:
  • Testing and implementing new software releases through regression testing. 
  • Identifying issues and engaging with vendors to resolve and elevate software into production.
  • Providing support for the upgrades as required.
  • Performs application support activities, including root cause analysis, issue resolution, solution and prevention, bug fixes, routine maintenance, ongoing business modifications, testing, and documentation. 
  • Position ensures modifications properly fix issues and meet user expectations via thorough requirements gathering, system testing, user acceptance testing and appropriate regression testing. Performs independent research, programming specs, configuration, testing and documentation. 
  • Resolves issues, and proactively initiates problem prevention. Consults with others engaged in complex issue resolution. 
  • Position monitors system processes and manages maintenance assignments including updating, enhancing, and/or streamlining of technical functions of the system, including data or system cleanup, or standardizing processes, forms application upgrades and supports OS server upgrade activities, as part of a team, including analysis, configuration, programming specs, testing, documentation, and cutover activities. 
  • Participates in application lifecycle upgrade projects. 

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
-    Proven working experience as an integration analyst or similar role.
-    Basic knowledge of the technical environment/ tools for own area.
-    Independently answers user questions and resolves issues. 
-    History as a collaborative team player, strength in communicating clearly with partners to elicit information/data requirements.
-    Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
-    Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
-    Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
-    Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
-    Travel dependent on project, enhancement or support activities; typically, less than 5%. International travel may be required. 
-    Periodically will be responsible for enhancement or support activities outside of normal working hours. 
-    Follows and enforces internal IT policies and standards such as: User support process, promote to-production process, development and testing practices, security policies, documentation standards and communication practices. 
-    Follows internal IT project management methodologies and uses selected tools. 
-    Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements. 
-    Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.). 
-    Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-    Bachelor’s degree in computer/data science or related technical experience.
-    1-3 years of hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience.
-    Some knowledge with data modeling with data strategy for data pipelines and data products.
-    Minimum of 1 - 3 years’ experience in various technical aspects of business systems and applications.
-    Experience with SQL, Python, OLAP, Shell, Git, Docker, XML, and HTML
-    Experience working with Relational Database System (AWS options and MS SQL Server).
-    General knowledge of AWS services such as IAM, S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, Step functions, Cloud formation, Cloud Watch, Lake Formation, Secret manager, API Gateway, SageMaker, ECS
-    Experience working with tools related to Data visualization (Power BI, QuickSight)
-    Knowledge of API REST, Graph, SOAP, JDBC/ODBC, OData, authentication and certificates.
-    Experience working with the basics of network infrastructure (TCP/IP, firewalls, etc.).
-    Understands the basics of Windows Domain/Group security issues.
-    Ability to progressively build technical/business/professional knowledge.
-    Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
