Arkema is seeking an experienced Account Manager to support the growth of its High Performance Polymers (HPP) Fluoropolymers business. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and driving commercial success across an eightstate territory. The Account Manager will engage with industrial customers, end users, and key market influencers in sectors such as Wire & Cable, Biopharma, Semiconductor, Oil & Gas, Water Filtration, and Food & Beverage.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Customer & Account Management

  • Manage existing and developing accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and support pricing and volume planning.
  • Lead initial contract discussions and develop account strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support customer needs.
  • Facilitate product transitions and support paymentrelated followup when necessary.
  • Identify and develop new customers based on technical understanding of polymer materials and processing.

 

Market Development

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with market influencers.
  • Monitor market developments and competitive activity.
  • Map value chains and identify opportunities to expand Arkema’s presence.
  • Support standards-related activities relevant to key applications and markets.

 

Industry & EndUse Engagement

  • Engage end users who influence material selection and technical specifications.
  • Participate in conferences, industry meetings, and committees as relevant.
  • Strengthen partnerships between customers, end users, and internal teams.
  • Product and Application Support
  • Identify market needs and work with internal teams on product development opportunities.
  • Support customer product development activities and coordinate technical service.
  • Promote related Arkema HPP product families where appropriate.

 

Internal Reporting and Communication

  • Provide routine updates on sales activities and forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines and customer intelligence within Salesforce.com.
  • Communicate market insights and project progress to internal stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Marketing, Field Sales, or Technical Service within polymers, materials, or related industrial markets.

 

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong selfmanagement and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and experience coordinating customer events.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, SAP, Salesforce.com, and related business systems.
  • Ability to translate technical products and applications for customer understanding.

 

Work Environment & Travel

  • Territory includes New England and Florida.
  • Travel requirements range from 30–50%, including air travel and overnight stays.
  • Work includes home office, customer facilities, and industrial environments.
