Finance Specialist - General Ledger Job

Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
Month-End Closing: Record month-end closing entries.
Recurring Entries: Prepare monthly recurring entries that include, but are not limited to, accruals, prepayment amortization, and intercompany transactions.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
Journal Entries: Prepare and recommend journal entries for adjustments after coordinating with other teams.
Team Support: Collaborate with other teams and provide support to address their accounting-related concerns.
Schedules & Reports: Prepare, monitor, and update assigned schedules and reports as required.
Fixed Assets: Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
Capitalized Expenses: Maintain records of all capitalized expenses.
Documentation: Ensure the timely filing of supporting documents for journal entries, reconciliations, and other monthly reports and schedules.
Audit and Controls
Audit Support: Ensure timely submission of audit requirements and provide support to external and internal auditors.
Audit Initiatives: Participate in company-wide audit initiatives and internal control activities, including audit self-assessments and ISO audits.
Tax Accounting
Tax Returns: Assist in the filing of tax returns in collaboration with the Finance Manager.
Tax Audits: Participate actively in BIR tax audits.
Others
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Director.
Qualifications
Knowledge
A solid understanding of IFRS/local accounting standards.
Proficient in using SAP applications.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting, preferably within a manufacturing and distribution organization.
