Supply Chain Planner with Logistics and Customs Coordination
The Job
- Decides what, when and where to supply raw materials, packaging and finished products to 3rd party warehouse/ distribution sites located in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
- Balances supply and demand over the operational horizon, to achieve optimum product availability and supply chain efficiencies.
- Provides operational support in arrangement and management of transportation and import/export for all EMEA activities.
- Contributes to optimization/synergy initiatives on transportation and warehousing, leveraging current Arkema group footprint and 3PL.
- Supports roll out of new information systems selected by the group to support and improve our Supply Chain processes.
- It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Activities
- Generates a time-phased supply schedule to fulfill business requirements in the short-term, while considering warehouse constraints, and meeting inventory and customer service targets
- Determines and/or executes the most effective regional or global sourcing rules.
- Where applicable, implements external warehousing agreements or executes agreements already in place.
- Serves as a local coordinator/planner for integration of internal demand at a particular location.
- Routinely checks and tracks inventory quantity, slow-moving or other inventory statuses and ensures that inventory volumes meet the plan.
- Monitors timely shipments by Logistics Service Providers from loading locations.
- Places Stock Transfer Orders to affiliates to replenish all EMEA warehouses inventory on time. O
- Identifies, prioritizes, and addresses supply issues (e.g. short-term capacity constraints, product shortage, emergency customer order received, uncovered production requirement, etc.)
- Leads collaboration with customer service, manufacturing, logistics, third-party service providers and business partners to meet business obligations in case of unplanned events.
- Checks the accuracy of logistics charges (e.g. freight, rentals, extra costs.
Qualifications/Required Experience
- University Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or other Sciences
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a customer-facing environment.
- SAP experience highly desirable.
- The critical competencies required for success are interpersonal effectiveness, understanding customer needs, teamwork, taking initiative, problem solving skills, technical proficiency in use of computer applications and analytical skills.
- This role requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding.
- Self-starter with demonstrated results as a team member and individual contributor.
- Strong planning skills with ability to manage competing priorities and effectively contribute in multiple concurrent projects.
- Competent user of Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of database and ERP system a big plus.
- Experience in supply chain planning, operations, or logistics preferred.
