Mission Details

We are seeking a Scientist to work on innovation, product development and optimization of our lamination adhesives product range in Europe.

The role reports to the European R&D Manager of AP&C Laminating Adhesives and is based in Mozzate (CO)

Required Profile

SAFETY
• Actively promotes safe behavior in the Department and takes responsibility for safe lab operations.
• Actively participates in department safety initiatives and initiates improvements in them.
• Participates at safety meetings and teams
• Mentors employees in the Department to practice safe working habits and behaviors


KNOW HOW
• PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, ideally with first experiences in the adhesive industry (3-5 years)
• Knowledge and experience in the design of polyurethane, polyester and acrylics, preferably around lamination adhesive for flexible food packaging and/or industrial application.
• Profound understanding about adhesion theory and reaction kinetics, especially related to polyurethane chemistry and polyester.
• Understands the requirements/challenges for improved sustainability and recyclability of flexible packaging.
• Good understanding about statistical methods and analysis
• Knows, how to apply Design of Experiment techniques
• Excellent communication skills & stake holder management
• Able to set up new research equipment, plan and execute experimental program.

• Organizes and analyzes data to explain conclusions & outcomes to management

• Professionally represents Bostik in interactions with external contacts
• Expands and uses internal and external networks through activities outside of immediate project work.
• Regularly publishes/presents in journal/symposium and communicate with business colleagues related to his/her field of research.
