Role Overview:
As our Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in our customer relationships, initiating and following up on sales opportunities and translating activities into sustainable sales and profit.
You will manage and develop your customer territory, ensure training, structured business calls, and plans are completed, and present territory performance, plans, and business development initiatives to the Business Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve financial budgets and targets.
Coordinate sales activities within designated territories and key accounts.
Analyze and report sales performance weekly/monthly; forecast opportunities.
Execute account strategies based on business requirements.
Recommend key customers for increased focus and new product opportunities.
Maintain sales by identifying inventory needs and ensuring timely deliveries.
Engage with customers to update store layouts and in-store relays.
Perform in-store staff training and demonstrations.
Conduct regular key customer visits and inform them of new product developments.
Maintain contacts and service key accounts within designated territory.
Conduct customer business reviews on sales performance.
Undertake joint sales calls with customers' Business Development Managers.
Conduct quarterly business reviews with top ten customers in the territory.
Liaise with customers to discuss concerns or complaints and instigate corrective actions.
Identify and action potential sales leads.
