Mission Details

The Operation Director is responsible for the overall leadership and management of all manufacturing activities at Sartomer Nansha plant, while ensuring a safe and efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operation of the plant while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement, leads a multidisciplinary team to achieve Business Unit (BU) manufacturing goals, maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and local authorities, and uphold the highest standards of HSEQ performance. Acting as the site’s senior operational leader, the Operation Director provides strategic direction, builds organizational capability, and ensures alignment with global and regional business objectives.

  • Responsible for all Health, Safety and Environment aspects to ensure compliance with national, industrial and local laws and regulations as well as Arkema corporate HSE directives
  • Responsible for the manufacturing of Sartomer product range in Nansha plant, safely, timing and in quality targets
  • Prepare and monitor plant budget (Opex and Capex)
  • Lead Operation, HSE, Maintenance & Engineering, Process Safety teams towards achieving BU annual budget and long term strategy
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and supplier contacts to optimize efficiency or develop new process to meet future BU needs
  • Develop and implement Operational Excellence roadmap

Required Profile

Knowledge and experience :More than 5 to 8 years of world class manufacturing experience in chemical industry;Strong technical background in manufacturing, process technology and HSE;Minimum 3 years of large team (100+ people) management experience;Good understanding of industrial project development process

Education:Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or related degree required; MBA preferred

Language & Skills :Good communications at all levels;Strong leadership and interpersonal skills ;Fluent English;

Abilities :Results driven; Problem Solving/Analysis; Ability to deal with diverse cultures;Strategic thinking
