Bostik has an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our Advanced Packaging & Converting business at our Dublin, OH location.  As a lab technician your responsibilities will include base resin synthesis, formulation and quality control of resin products, and property testing of formulations, and application/performance testing. You will also be responsible for assisting in general lab maintenance and organization. You must be able to conduct experiments, organize data, and be able to communicate results in a technical report and/or presentation. #LI-TJ1

 

Key Activities

  • Conduct lab experiments with support / direction from senior scientist
  • Conduct adhesive performance and application tests (e.g., bond strength, food simulant resistance, etc.)
  • Keep a well-organized and updated laboratory notebook
  • Keep the laboratory clean, stocked with needed items and well organized.
  • Follow all safety rules, work safely and maintain a safe, 5S laboratory. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science with laboratory experience or HS diploma plus 15 years industrial lab experience.   
  • Commercial laboratory experience in adhesives or coatings is a plus
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written and basic computer skills)
  • Good team player
  • Good time management skill and capabilities to handle multiple tasks
  • Self-management with completing assigned tasks
  • Ability to work in laboratory handling chemicals and conducting experiments.
  • Ability to safely lift 40 pounds (i.e., pails) and move full drums with assistance of a drum cart
