The OEM Account Manager (Flooring) is responsible for driving profitable growth, retention, and strategic expansion of Bostik’s private label and OEM business within major North American flooring manufacturers. This role protects and expands Bostik’s position in the flooring adhesives and sundries category by aligning commercial strategy, technical performance, regulatory compliance, and customer-specific labeling and certification requirements.  This national, individual-contributor role manages a portfolio of high-value OEM flooring manufacturers across the U.S., representing a significant revenue segment of the Flooring Solutions business. The position owns all commercial aspects of assigned accounts, including pricing strategy, contract negotiation, margin management, forecasting, pipeline development, and long-term business planning.
 
The role serves as a critical liaison between customers and internal teams-R&D, Technical Service, Regulatory, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Marketing. Oversight of private-label accuracy, including SDS documentation, certification alignment, and change-management processes, is a key responsibility. Strong organizational discipline, technical aptitude, and execution precision are essential.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Portfolio Sales & Technical Solutions (25%)
Promote and sell Bostik’s product portfolio across Resilient, Soft Surface, Hardwood, Ceramic, Surface Preparation Systems (SPS), and Sealants.
Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations; evaluate OEM application requirements.
Collaborate with R&D and laboratory teams to support product validation, testing, and innovation.
Provide competitive and industry insights to guide commercial and technical decisions.
Note: Candidates do not need experience across all product categories-experience in one or more is sufficient; cross-training is provided.

 

Territory Strategy & CRM Management (25%)
Develop and execute a national OEM strategy.
Prioritize high-value opportunities and maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline within Salesforce.
Share territory and account-level insights with leadership to support planning and revenue predictability.

 

OEM Account Management & Growth (25%)
Manage and expand assigned OEM accounts at multiple organizational levels, including executive relationships.
Protect existing revenue, negotiate multi-year agreements, and identify new business opportunities.
Represent senior leadership as needed and participate in industry trade events to strengthen market presence.

 

Sales Plan Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment (25%)
Execute the OEM sales plan to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets.
Lead coordination across R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Technical Service, and Manufacturing to ensure successful product launches, private-label accuracy, regulatory compliance, and change management.
 

 

Qualifications and Education
Required: 5+ years in technical sales with OEM account responsibility OR
Preferred: 3+ years in flooring industry  or related technical building products

Education and area of focus
Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Chemistry, or similar technical discipline
Industry certifications beneficial

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM
Strong organizational skills and disciplined time management
Ability to translate technical product data into customer-focused value propositions
Effective communicator capable of presenting to OEM partners and internal stakeholders
Strong influencing skills across cross-functional teams
Ability to manage complex projects, timelines, and regulatory-sensitive documentation

Able to travel up to 40%
