Logistics Coordinator - Calumet City (Salary $66K - $88K, 4% annual bonus potential)

 

 

Reports directly to the Logistics Supervisor. 

Job Overview

Receives Customer Orders, Plans and processes deliveries, resolves delivery issues, receives incoming materials, set’s up collect shipments.

Activities

LOGISTICS and Clerical (100%):

  • Receive inbound packaged raw materials.  Verify delivery quantities match purchase order quantities and notify purchasing of any discrepancies
  • Generate daily bulk TW finished product shipment schedule.  Proved hard copy to shift supervisors an electronic copy to distribution list of carriers, customer service and plant employees.
  • Setup all collect packaged goods shipments (drums/totes)
  • Produce all shipping documentation for export orders and coordinate pickup of material.  Including COA’s, IMO, BOL, Customs Invoices, etc. Work with customer service to resolve all documentation issues and ensure carrier receives all needed paperwork.
  • Coordinate sample shipments
  • Ensure all postings are completed within 24 hours of shipment.
  • Perform daily doc and Receiving audits.
  • Perform transactions in SAP, PGI’s and Process Returns
  • Process Customer or Outside warehouse returns.  Maintain file of all documentation.
  • Work with Customer Service and/or plant personnel to investigate and resolve customer delivery issues.
  • Maintain shipping records files including adding shipping records to Api product batch records.
  • Maintain Plant Operations files in compliance with Retention policy
  • Maintain Logistics and Shipping equipment and supplies
  • Read company communications weekly.
  • Complete scheduled periodic training on time and as required
  • Participate in all plant safety programs and training
  • Other duties as assigned.
Context and environment

The ideal candidate:

  • This position works in an office/warehouse environment.
  • Classes will be attended as needed for shipping regulation training.
  • Demonstrates commitment to HES though high visibility and actions
  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Participates in HES activities provide by site management and Bostik Inc.
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.

 

Accountabilities

  • Must be able to multi-task and efficiently operate in as stressful work environment.
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of detail and accuracy required.

Qualifications / experience required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent: 5+ years of experience required.
  • Chemical Plant experience preferred.
  • Logistics experience preferred.
  • Proficient Computer Skills (Outlook, Word, SAP, Excel)
  • This position will require 49 CFR Certification and IMDG/IATA certification
