Mission Details

We recruit a highly motivated R&D Chemical Engineer to join our team near Leeds under V.I.E. contract and contribute to the development of cutting-edge products in the field of polymeric photoinitiators and cationic resin technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for various operations such as:

 

• Spearheading the development of new products within our R&D program.

• Setting and adhering to project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of results.

• Facilitating the scale-up and transfer of processes from R&D to manufacturing, both internally and externally.

• Innovating and optimizing synthetic chemistry procedures and manufacturing processes.

• Conducting routine analytical tests to assess product quality and performance.

• Providing essential support for both internal and external manufacturing operations.

• Collaborating with various functions locally and across regions as necessary.

• Ensuring workplace safety by adhering to established COSHH and risk assessments, and developing new assessments when needed.

• Adhering to quality and safety procedures, as well as SOPs, to maintain high standards in all operations.

Required Profile

Master's or engineer degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.

The position is proposed under a V.I.E. contract with compulsory criteria regarding eligibility from Business France: you must be an European citizen, postgraduate younger than 29 yo.

 

Experience:

Preferably at least 6 months of organic synthesis experience.

Experienced in chemical industry R&D, leading projects to manufacturing scale-up.

Proficient in synthetic chemistry and analytical techniques.

 

Technical Skills:

- Skilled in optimizing synthetic routes and manufacturing processes.

- Capable of conducting and analyzing analytical tests.

- Knowledgeable in safety protocols and risk assessments.

 

Problem-Solving:

- Strong troubleshooting abilities for technical challenges.

- Quick adaptation to new technologies for efficiency.

 

Communication:

- Effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Attention to detail in experimental design and documentation.

 

- Proactive approach to proposing new concepts.

- Committed to advancing materials science, particularly in photoinitiators and cationic resin development.
