Sr. Financial Systems & Budgeting

Objective
  • This role reports to the Sr. Accounting Managers and oversees financial data consolidation and reporting requirements.
  • This position works cross functionally and oversees the budgeting and analytical capabilities across the Bostik Inc. organization
  • Develops and Oversees the SGA (Functional) reporting needs – including the development of tools, and processes that enable successful business collaboration and partnership.
Job dimensions
  • Works collaboratively across the finance team to effectively deploy and oversee the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Has strong technical skills including understanding of SAP data and that of consolidation software.
  • Develops a Bostik, Inc. systems strategy that aligns with the overall Arkema vision and drives overall implementation and organizational acceptance
  • Oversees the SGA business partner capabilities; including development of business process and organizational skills.
Activities
  • Annual Budget
    • Develops and leads the end to end budgeting process for Bostik, Americas
    • Effectively engages, and communicates with key stakeholders to ensure successful adoption & execution
    • Obtains necessary insight from Arkema, Global BU controllers to ensure effective business process
    • Develops timelines and leads end to end budgeting process across all US sites including those external to SAP Best

 

  • SGA (Functional Business Support)
    • Oversees and Manages the business process for functional business support
    • Collaborates with business leaders to understand current gaps and expectations
    • Develops business process/communications expectations for organization
    • Coaches; mentors on expectations and overall business process

 

  • Analytical Capabilities
    • Leads the development of analytical reporting to support  BU controllers and shared services team members
    • Oversees development and deployment of executive friendly tools to enhance organizational analytical capabilities including forecasting and projection capabilities
    •  Partners with executive leadership to understand key pain points and deliver solutions that address business needs and expectations

 

  • Financial Systems & Consolidations
    • Leads and develops the financial systems roadmap, both SAP and non-SAP and ensures that information is submitted timely in accordance with organizational deadlines.
    • Enables US GAAP reporting requirements and ensures sustainable reporting
    • Ensures the integrity of information submitted
    • Collaborates with BPO to help define organizational improvements and enhancing best practices.
 
Context and environment
  • Occasional travel domestically and internationally as needed – approximately  < 10%
  • May require working outside of normal business hours to meet deadlines
  • Supports the site EHS policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
  • Participates in EHS activities provided by site management and Bostik, Inc. (e.g., Puresafety, etc.)
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents
  • Practice safe work habits, in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines and Bostik specific EHS requirements

 

 

Qualifications / experience required

 

  • Education: BS or BA in Accounting or  Finance with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance, financial reporting or related capabilities
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of  financial reporting, data consolidation and possesses related technical skills
  • CPA/CMA/MBA Preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability to work independently and resolve technical issues with limited guidance and coaching
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical/technical skills and decision making capabilities
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, project management and communication skills
  • Operates with integrity and high degree of confidentiality with intellectual property, technology and other confidential information/knowledge acquired in position.
  • Demonstrates proactive interest and ability in solving problems and best ways to approach tasks
  • Actively drives organizational process improvement
