JOB DIMENSIONS

 

  • Lead payroll processing for Bostik, Inc.
  • UKG Ready – system administrator, responsible maintenance of employee data, getting time from UKG Ready to payroll
  • HR Data –monitor the shared inbox for employees transaction and transmit accordingly
  • Eforms –Creation of employee transition record, submitted for approval, monitor approval status, follow-up up as needed & finalized transaction in SAP with changes approved
  • SAP – employee maintenance (jobs, names, taxes, direct deposit, changes, etc).  Check in and audit payroll processing, including running reports and verifying differences, auditing non-exempt hours, entering specific payrolls detail in the system and proofing
  • Support HR projects as assigned

 

ACTIVITIES

 

Payroll (70%):

  • Lead preparation and processing of bi-weekly and weekly payroll utilizing HR management systems (UKG Workforce Now and SAP PHR). Includes, but is not limited to, data entry, transferring time and attendance, payroll and time reports, and proofing of entries. 
  • Maintains systems, personnel files and spreadsheets for new and existing employees. Assist and process changes relating to pay rates, deductions, paid time off allowances, garnishments, bonuses and other payroll related requests. Closely collaborate with HR Partners, Site Administration, and Managers to ensure records are up-to-date.
  • Creates and prepares payroll and employee information reports as needed.
  • Responds to notifications from state agencies.
  • Participate in payroll & processes audits.
  • Run and manipulate bi-weekly GL reports.  Assist finance with reconciliation of payroll to GL reporting
  • Complete the monthly headcount reconciliation report and cost center report
  • Performs filing and upkeep of employee payroll records.
  • Run standard and ad hoc audit reports to ensure accuracy of employee payroll data. Must be comfortable manipulating, large amounts of data in varying formats.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, implementations and testing of new processes and systems or payroll features.
  • Review of processed payroll

 

Systems (15%):

  • Serves as Bostik system contact for SAP-HR (payroll) and UKG Ready timekeeping system.
  • Serves as back-up administrator for LOA and e-forms systems.
  • Trains/assists HR contacts in HR systems, payroll, etc.
  • Assists employees and managers on the use of “e-forms” and UKG Ready.
  • Responsible for system training and reporting

 

Benefits (10%):

  • Provide back-up LOA administration, to include system management and updating UKG Ready with appropriate hours based on STD report (ERP, STD, etc.)

 

Compensation (5%):

  • Provide support to the Compensation manager in completing compensation reviews, job analysis, and market studies
  • Assist in administration of merit cycle and bonus programs.

 

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

 

The job involves strategic independent and collaborative work with the HR team and all Bostik, Inc. employees.  A strong understanding of HR fundamentals including employee relations, benefits, payroll, compensation, HR systems, labor relations, and HR analytics is required to support the HR function as the generalist for Bostik, Inc.

 

This role will be integral in compiling payroll information from multiple sources, managing accurate payroll preparation, completing reports, and maintaining records.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

  • Associate degree and 5+ years Payroll, Finance/Accounting or Human Resources experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and system skills
  • Strong, effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables;
  • Understanding of HR functions including benefits, compensation, HR analytics, HRMS, and payroll
