JOB DIMENSION
- Grow HPP and specifically Specialty Polyamides in Korea by detecting new applications.
- Work in close collaboration with KTC and CRDC Specialty Polyamides team.
- Market: Automotive.
- Interaction: Business team in Seoul, R&D team in France (CERDATO), USA (KOP), Japan (KTC), and China (CRDC), customers.
- Product: Whole range of Specialty Polyamides.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
- Growing market in Korea, with lots of competitors.
- Arkema company strategy to develop strong differentiation against competitors which means more resources for new development for High Performance Polymers.
- This position analyses customer needs and market trend, draws a development plan, proposes R&D theme if needed, and create new business from new or existing product.
- This position accumulates and manages efficiently and systematically technical information.
- This position improves satisfaction of customers through high level technical service with the sales team.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO
1. Development activities
- Cooperation with Sales team in Korea in order to identify customer unmet needs.
- Reply to Technical Questions from customer.
- Participate to Trade show, seminars in order to identify new opportunities.
- Input above information to appropriate Arkema database and create internal request to BD Manager. After experiment, create appropriate reports for customer.
- Cooperate with the WW Research and Development team and Business Development team of the BU to share detailed customer feedbacks and participate to the products range evolution.
2. Research activities
- Be innovative & propose new market/product development.
- Lead Stage Gate Project for new product development in Korean market.
HAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE
1. Knowledge
- At least Master Degree in polymer science and engineering.
- Fluent in Korean and English & Office IT tool.
2. Know how
- Ability for team work, work in a multi-cultural & multifunction team.
- Ability for business networking.
- Presentation skill in both academic and business settings is essential.
- Good communication skills with the local team and overseas R&D as well as with clients.
3. Behaviour
- Self-motivated, drive toward results with good market thinking.
- Experience: At least 3~4 years in a similar position.
