IDEAL WORK is an ITALIAN COMPANY based in Vallà di Riese Pio X (TV), approximately 1 hour from Venice. The company was originally FORMED IN 1997 WITH THE CLEAR GOAL OF INTRODUCING THE CONCEPT OF QUALITY DESIGN CONCRETE FINISHING to the European market. We develop, produce and sell products for decorative flooring and walls. The main product lines are focused on: microcement, concrete flooring, polished concrete, terrazzo and exposed aggregate paths and drives.
Ideal Work offers a unique approach to the market through collaboration and technical exchange with its applicators and distribution partners. The company also takes pride in its highly skilled network of flooring installers, specialized in applying its innovative products. Ideal Work meets each client's unique needs for space customization.
We have a network of qualified, trained, and approved contractors in 80 different countries worldwide. The promotion of Ideal Work solutions involves engaging architects and designers, showcasing the possibilities they can achieve by using our products.

Job Purpose
We are seeking an International Business Developer to effectively represent IDEAL WORK in markets where the company does not have a direct presence. This individual will be responsible for growing IDEAL WORK’s business by identifying applicators and/or distributors capable of delivering high-quality projects.
The International Business Developer must also have the ability to inspire architects and designers through presentations and site visits, persuading them to adopt IDEAL WORK solutions.
The candidate should possess knowledge of construction site dynamics to effectively interact with all stakeholders, including architects, applicators, and end clients.
This role requires a dynamic and empathetic person who can passionately communicate the value of decorative finishes to both architects and applicators.
Sales and marketing in the design, furniture, lighting, and contract markets are essential. For this reason, we are looking for a candidate with at least three years of experience in the following sectors: sales of contract, decoration, lighting, furniture, and equipment for hotels, retail spaces, contract, and residential projects.
The ideal candidate should be able to communicate effectively with architects and designers while also engaging with the applicators of IDEAL WORK products.

Required Profile

The primary goal of the International Business Developer is to establish new commercial relationships with Applicators and Architects worldwide. The candidate will also collaborate with the Global Business Director and the Marketing Director in managing current clients.
The role involves preparing the commercial development plan in accordance with the company’s budget and identifying and acquiring potential clients (applicators), personally conducting commercial negotiations.
The candidate will propose communication actions and support the Marketing Department in their implementation in the market, while also overseeing technical customer support provided by dedicated technical specialists.
The candidate will assist designers during the design phase and in drafting specifications and provide commercial assistance to installers in person, over the phone, via videocalls, and by email. Visits to customers’ construction sites and offices will also be required. Additionally, the role includes organizing training courses (held by the technical department), both at the company and at local partner facilities in various countries, as well as conducting online presentations for applicators and architects.
The candidate will suggest and support the improvement of sales and marketing tools, investigate and handle projects or complaints, and engage on social media with weekly posts while actively searching for applicators. Staying updated on the most interesting projects through architectural magazines, social media, and web portals is essential, as is attending industry trade fairs when necessary.
Furthermore, the role requires investigating and monitoring competitors and their products, with an annual updated report about competitors being prepared. The candidate will also engage with application companies using Ideal Work systems on their projects.

 

Skills and Qualifications

• Sales and Marketing Expertise: Strong ability to interpret sales data, statistics, and analyses. Proficiency in conducting research on social media and the web to identify new contacts and potential clients.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the design and architecture sectors to effectively communicate and engage with architects.
• Language Skills: Excellent spoken and written proficiency in English and Italian; knowledge of French and German is a plus.
• Commercial Experience: Proven experience in commercial negotiations and sales management. Familiarity with pricing strategies, discounts, and promotions.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with applicator companies and distributors.
• Location and Availability: Residence in the Veneto area. Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time and participate in business dinners with clients.
• Personal Attributes: High energy level, positive attitude, and trustworthy communication skills. Flexibility and adaptability for travel. Ability to organize business trips efficiently. Respectful interaction and engagement with different cultures.
• Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with applicators and specifiers.
