The Credit & Collections Supervisor, will be responsible for the collections of the A/R portfolio for Arkema group entities in US and Canada. The position is accountable for the credit review process, including the consistent application of the credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers. The goal is to minimize past due amounts as well as to manage credit risk to optimize the mix of company sales and bad debt losses. Very limited travel expected.  This position will be located in the North American Headquarters of the Arkema Group.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and manages Credit Analysts to ensure that overall A/R balances are reviewed/cleared on a regular basis, and orders released promptly. Manage portfolio assignments for equitable analyst workloads and appropriate coverage. (20%)
  • Monitors High Radius worklist and coordinate action with Credit Analysts. Supports Analysts as an escalation point for credit questions and assisting with collection disputes. (20%)
  • Performs credit reviews of customers, utilizing BVD reports and Coface coverage to determine appropriate credit exposure for existing and new accounts. Work closely with BU leadership to limit the company’s overall risk/exposure. (15%)
  • Works with Coface (Credit Insurer) in all functions regarding coverage, recovery, bankruptcy issues, risks, etc. (15%)Manages strategic accounts. Provide backup support and handle portfolios when needed to allow for uninterrupted coverage. (10%)
  • Interacts and maintains relationships with other company functional areas. Interpret and communicate Credit policies and procedures by working with BUs/Staff. (10%)
  • Works on special projects as needed. (10%)

 

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • College Degree
  • Minimum of 8+ years of credit & collections experience, with 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • NACM, NCCA affiliation helpful.

 

Competencies-Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • The position requires a high level of experience in all areas of credit and collection management.
  • It has regular contact with business groups and outside customers, which requires an ability to communicate knowledge of the issues in a manner that provides comfort to these individuals both verbally and written.
  • SAP/High Radius(collections tool) power user.

 

HES Requirements:

  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
  • Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, nearmiss, accident or injury incidents

 

Physical Demands/Working Condition:

  • Will occasionally require working additional hours outside of normal workday/workweek to meet certain deadlines throughout the year. This may include some holidays to ensure compliance with deadline requirements.
  • Hybrid schedule – minimum 3 days in the office
