Senior Analyst Applications – SAP Manufacturing  Applications

Job Summary:

• Reports to Manager, SAP Manufacturing Applications with 5 other internal IT professionals and several contractors at various levels
• This position does not supervise any other position but may provide direction to less experienced professionals or external resources (contractors) assigned to support, enhancements, or projects.   
• Regional job with worldwide interactions
• This position is responsible for supporting and enhancing forecast and planning applications, both SAP and non-SAP applications.  Enhancements include business-driven and technical modifications, including integration with other SAP modules and cloud-based applications.
• Position collaborates with Business Process Owners and IT groups, both global and regional .
• Position will apply functional/ technical expertise in SAP and integrated systems that can impact over 10,000 users in 2 global and 1 regional SAP ERP systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Application Enhancements & Projects

• Position performs small to medium business driven modifications, system developments and enhancements for SAP & other 3rd party applications, for example Picaso
• Participates in implementation rollouts and enhancement projects.  
• System developments include defining requirements for system modification via user interviews, research, writing specifications to meet requirements by matching functionality with business needs, technical design, configuration, testing and documentation.  Collaborates with process owners on process design. May assist process owners with developing training and training end users.
• Position applies project management methodology with support of manager or project lead.
• Position works directly with business process owners & key users to define needs for system enhancements, and with a project lead or manager for enhancements with significant business requirements and/or integrated business process definition and designs. 
• Position ensures modifications properly fix issues and meet user expectations through requirements gathering, system testing, user acceptance testing and appropriate regression and non-regression testing.
• Position will participate or lead detail requirements gathering, analysis of systems issues and definition of alternatives.
• Position may require expert assistance of others in process design, analysis of alternatives and risk assessment.
• Position evaluates technologies and functionalities.     
• Ensures the application integrity of the system with each system modification.  

Application Support & Maintenance

• Performs support activities, including ongoing business modifications, routine maintenance, root cause analysis, and fixing bugs.Resolves complex issues independently, and proactively initiates problem prevention.  Consults with others engaged in complex issue resolution. Provides proactive and timely problem resolution and communication.
• Performs problem analysis, independent research, programming specs, configuration, testing and documentation.  
• Manages maintenance assignments including updating, enhancing, and/or streamlining of technical functions of the system, including data or system cleanup, or standardizing processes. 
• Drives toward incident avoidance resolutions and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Required 

• 5 years of IT experience – includes technical support business systems/applications (SAP Applications preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, required

Experience Preferred:

• Experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) systems that integrate with SAP, including the ability to analyze production schedules, optimize resource allocation, and ensure seamless data exchange between APS and SAP.
• Experience with SAP PP, MM, and SD modules, including production planning, materials management, and sales order integration to support APS and forecasting functions.
• Exposure to implementation or support of SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP, including migration strategies, process optimization, and integration with APS solutions.
• Experience with the SAP EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) module is a plus.
