We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead the commercial strategy and execution for our Hydrogen Peroxide & Derivatives business across North America (U.S., Canada, and Mexico). This role is responsible for driving profitable growth, managing strategic customer relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans and pricing strategies in alignment with business goals.
  • Lead new business development efforts, particularly in emerging markets such as battery recycling.
  • Manage key strategic accounts and oversee margin performance across the sales team.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, and Finance to ensure product availability and alignment with customer needs.
  • Guide and coach account managers; ensure team proficiency in CRM and reporting tools.
  • Track NBD progress against yearly targets and manage opportunity reviews with the sales team.
  • Represent the business unit in industry focus groups and conferences.
  • Define distributor strategies by product, market, and geography.
  • Oversee collections and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Contribute to business unit leadership and sustainability initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration to support global customer relationships.
  • Provide input for annual budgets and long-term strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in chemical, technical sales, business development, or marketing.
  • At least 5 years managing strategic or global customers; minimum 3 years of people management experience.
  • BA/BS in Sales, Marketing, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience across diverse market segments such as pulp and paper, chemical manufacturing, food processing, and water treatment is a plus.
  • Proven background in both commodity and specialty chemical markets.
  • Experience with direct sales and sales through distribution channels.

  • Well-connected within the organization to effectively leverage internal resources.
  • Fluency in French and Spanich is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM tools (preferably Salesforce.com), and knowledgeable in SAP.

Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) Responsibilities

  • Supports the site’s HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Actively participates in HES programs led by site management and the organization
  • Promotes and encourages the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident, or injury incidents.
