JOB SUMMARY

 

Arkema Inc. is seeking an experienced Account Specialist to join our Thiochemicals division. This role is critical to ensuring seamless order management, exceptional customer service, and accurate account reconciliation. As part of a collaborative 6-person Customer Service team, you will interface with plants, tollers, warehouses, and multiple internal departments to support revenue streams and maintain operational excellence.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Order Management

  • Manage high-volume orders accurately and on time.
  • Execute SAP processes and maintain customer data.
  • Provide pricing, availability, and delivery updates.

 

Issue Resolution

  • Resolve customer complaints and financial discrepancies.
  • Handle urgent situations and recommend improvements.

 

Training

  • Maintain ISO compliance and support team development.

 

Additional Activities

  • Participate in Supply Chain meetings.
  • Assist with reporting and process improvement initiatives.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of customer service experience with degree OR 6+ years without.
  • SAP proficiency strongly preferred; intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain (or equivalent experience).

 

Skills:

  • Trusted relationship builder with strong SAP/ERP knowledge.
  • Ability to manage complex processes and multi-task effectively.
  • Commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement.
