As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Produce, inspect, and package products per batch formulations utilizing various mixing, blending, and packaging equipment.
- Follow all EHS and Quality procedures to safely produce a quality product.
- Record manually and via computer, all material usage, accurately fill out process batch sheets.
Night Shift hours: Mon - Friday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. (Must be willing to work an off shift and overtime as necessary)
Mandatory 2-week training Mon- Fri from 8 am - 4 pm
Pay is competitive and based on experience with a shift differential of $1.25 /hr
ACTIVITIES
- Follow process batch sheets to produce quality products per prescribed standards.
- Adheres to all plant policies, practices, and procedures to meet safety, quality, service, and cost objectives.
- Practice continuous quality improvement in all processes.
- Participates in Bostik's Safety programs to achieve the objective of safe behavior and goal of Zero Incidents.
- Monitor and adjust equipment as necessary and permittable to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Work cooperatively with all employees and leadership to meet plant/shift objectives
- Maintain and improve the level of housekeeping in the work area and facility.
- Completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Operate various pieces of equipment including but not limited to lamination equipment, packaging equipment, forklifts, palletizers, basic hand tools.
- Use computer controls to operate the equipment.
- Participates in continuous improvement projects, and Kaizen events.
- Rotates to other work functions as required by process flow.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
- Work in a fast-paced production environment where safety, accuracy, and speed are essential. Simultaneous competing priorities require effective and efficient multi-tasking to succeed.
- Ability to stand, lift to 50 lbs., and walk throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a climate-controlled environment.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Use of production equipment, material handling equipment, and hand tools.
- Use of computers for data management and training.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operate equipment and report issues to leadership as needed.
- Completion of daily goals.
- Use problem-solving techniques to eliminate waste and errors and drive an overall improvement in daily objectives.
- Understanding of production and process equipment.
- Adherence to Bostik, OSHA, and local regulations/policies.
Qualifications / Experience Required
- High school diploma or GED,
- Ability to read English and perform basic math skills.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Ability to operate automated and semi-automated equipment.
- Must be willing to work an off shift and overtime as necessary
