Mission Details

Technological and functional monitoring

  • Carries out a technological watch of developments and new software versions
  • Collects, structures and formalizes the needs of the business in terms of the evolution of applications, products and services
  • Is force of proposal in the choice of solutions
  • Prioritizes and presents the needs to be built during arbitration committees
  • Is the privileged contact for editors

Study phase

  • Deals with evolutions/corrections and projects within the scope of activities:
  • Prepare/have prepared for functional specification documents according to the methodology used for the project (Agile or Waterfall)
  • Analyze/have analyzed the evolution and correction requests taking into account the application landscape (version upgrade, SaaS solution...)
  • Estimates/have estimated the workload of each request in relation with the teams concerned (development, interfaced systems, etc.)
  • Collects volume of business data (number of users, transaction volumes, etc.)
  • Ensures that the intended IT evolutions respect the architecture principles of the applications concerned


  • Carry out / have carried out the configuration and have the developments carried out / followed up
  • Define, carry out/have carried out and maintain test plans (unit test, integration and non-regression)
  • Is responsible for the quality of deliveries and acceptance in the domain
  • Assist the Business Process Owners if necessary during the users acceptance (definition of the plan, testing, training, etc.....)
  • Is the contact for the technical teams: development, authorizations, operations, ...
  • Perform acceptance test of technical evolutions of applications (e.g. support packages, version changes, etc.), and organizes or participates in the associated roll-out

Cut-over and Go-live

  • Support the Third Party Maintainer's skills improvment, in particular through knowledge transfer
  • Coordinate the actions to be carried out for the cut-over in the production environment
  • Ensure that functional and technical documentation is available and up to date. Complete it if necessary

User Support

  • Validates the competence of the Third Party Maintainer
  • Controls the service quality of the support provided by the Third Party Maintainer
  • Builds and implements action plans of the preventive support
  • Handles or facilitates the resolution of incidents when necessary

IS projects

  • Participates in implementation and deployment projects according to a CORE model if one exists
  • Depending on the organization and size of the project, takes on the role of project manager and therefore ensures / contributes to the implementation and ensures monitoring, reporting
  • Contributes to the expectations of enterprise architecture (architecture file, application mapping in particular)

  • Good communication with other members of the department and other entities 
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to drive operationally one or several external(s) - in recurrent or project

Job-specific competences

  • Good knowledge of the business if the domain
  • Good knowledge of IT solutions covering the domain
  • Ability to understand the application/technical eco-system of he domain
  • Experience in project management
  • Familiar with good practices for writing project documents and user needs (user experience, user stories, etc.)
  • Professional English
