JOB SUMMARY

This position is in the Maintenance Department and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.  The Invoice Marshaller will act as the backup to this position.

The Warehouse Specialist will interface with the appropriate maintenance and manufacturing resources to support warehouse activities in a safe, responsible, and environmentally sound manner, which complies with all regulatory requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Major responsibilities for the Warehouse Specialist include but are not limited to the following:

  • Procure parts, equipment and MRO materials for the site units in Acrylics and Esters. – 10%
  • Analyzes, (re-)establish and manages MRO inventory levels. – 10%
  • Maintains MRO inventory records. – 10%
    • Participates in standardization of MRO materials.
    • Performs technical identification of new and/or existing MRO materials.
    • Acts as problem solver for technical aspects on MRO materials.
  • Executes Order Recommendation process. – 10%
  • Shipping/Receiving Goods into and out of Warehouse. – 15%
  • Handles reservations and backorders for MRO inventory items. – 10%
  • Sets up, stocks, and organizes items for warehouse inventory. – 15%
  • Issue spare parts from warehouse. – 10%
  • Executes MRO inventory replenishments. – 10%

Other duties as Assigned:

  • Analyzes surplus/obsolete materials or equipment and initiates investment recovery process.
  • Monitors supplier performances regarding timelines and completeness pf deliveries.
  • Participate in systems support functions i.e. Changes to programs, functionality and testing.
  • Generates data and reports for users.
  • Participated in “share the spare” process.
  • Acts as an SME for other departments.
  • Initiates supply chain improvements.
  • Assist maintenance planning in turnaround/outage preparation.

The duties of this position are conducted with the following considerations:

  • Changing production requirements – quality, quantity, customer needs and logistics.
  • Equipment capabilities.
  • Maintenance workforce availability and capabilities.
  • Follow and adhere to the maintenance work process.
  • Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, holidays.
  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g. Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.
  • Understands and supports the Clear Lake Facility Acrylic Monomers HSE2Q Commitment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

Min Years of Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in procurement/warehouse coordination for a chemical manufacturing facility.

Education and area of focus

High School Diploma.  Technical education / certification preferred.
