Job Dimension

  • The Tolling Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing production schedules for toll manufacturing operations.
  • This role ensures optimal utilization of tolling partner/s, meets customer demand requirements, and maintains efficient material flow across the supply chain.
  • The position acts as a key interface between internal planning, procurement, logistics, quality, and external toll manufacturer/s.
  • Customer Interaction:  handling customer queries about shipments, pre and post shipments documentation and feed-back from clients
  • Third-Party Coordination: Communicating with plant, freight forwarders, shipping lines and logistic providers both at POL and POD.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

This position is specific for High Performance Polymer business unit’s following roles.

  1. toll manufacturing in India, supporting customers in the India region.
  2. receive and process orders from the sales team.
  3. To understand customer’s requirement, take confirmation on price from SAM, co-ordinate with SNOP team on stock availability, check with plant and FF and logistic provider to deliver product on time to customer .
  4. To closely coordinate with customers and provide updates about the orders and the shipments and follow up on payments.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term production schedules with tolling partner/s.
  • Translate demand forecasts and customer orders into executable production plans.
  • Ensure availability of raw materials, packaging, and resources to support scheduled production.
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and adjust plans to meet changing business needs.
  • Communicate schedules, capacity requirements, and production priorities to toll manufacturer/s.
  • Track toller performance including adherence to schedule, yield, quality, and lead times.
  • Resolve production delays or bottlenecks through active collaboration with tollers.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods at tolling location.
  • Optimize inventory to reduce cost while ensuring service levels are met.
  • Coordinate inbound raw materials with logistics teams and manage delivery of outbound finished goods
  • Work closely with Demand, Procurement, Supply, and Quality teams.
  • Support new product introductions, tolling changes, or production transitions.
  • Escalate supply risks and propose mitigation plans.
  • Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (SAP, Picaso, etc.).
  • Track KPIs: service level, adherence to schedule, cycle time, and inventory accuracy.
  • Generate regular reports for management on production status and risks.
  • Support Technical Support team on product quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Support audits or assessments of tolling partners.
  • Document deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Order Processing, documentation 
  • New customer creation in MDP tool
  • Checking credit limit in system before registering sales order
  • Receipt of firm order/PO from customer for registering orders in SAP tool
  • Check on ATP / CREDIT BLOCKS before creating sales order
  • Sending order on transportation tools
  • Providing OA (order acknowledgement) to customer through SAP system  
  • Once receive bill of lading from FF, preparing final documents and arranging to send it to customer
  • Follow up with customer for payments on due date
  • Supporting Finance SSC team for creating sales orders on commission and professional expenses recharges/corporate expenses for agency business and corporate office
  • Input of rolling forecast on PICASO tool in coordination with sales manager
  • request quotation on QTOOL
  • Follow up with freight forwarder for booking schedule
  • Check, confirm with designated authority and approve  extra cost in transportation tool
  • Asking for relevant documents from plant / FF so that authorized person can able to approve extra cost
  • Providing booking schedule/booking confirmation to customer
  • Tracking shipping details with shipping company, update the customer about shipments status.
  • Provide specific report to key account customer, upload documents on customer’s CRM.
  • To receive customer complain, ask for relevant proof to verify it with plant.
  • Register complain claim in SALES FORCE and SAP tool simultaneously and send it to authorized person for approve
  • Create DN/CN for the customer claims inform customer
  • Escalate complex problems to supervisors or specialized departments. 

Required Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, production scheduling, or manufacturing (experience with tolling operations strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with contract manufacturing/tolling environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, batch scheduling, and capacity planning.
