Position Summary:

As a S&OP Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing an operating plan that will meet the service expectations of the commercial functions at the lowest possible costs.  The manager is also responsible for developing tools and procedures to optimize the entire supply chain process from forecasting to product delivery.  Total revenue within scope of this position is roughly $176 million, produce from 4 North American plants, and 4 tolling partners.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Sales and Operations planning process that ensures operating and resource plans are available to support sales plans and service expectations at the lowest cost.  This plan must be integrated with the global plans of the Surfactant and Additives Business Unit.
  • Manages supply of product through multiple production lines in and external sourcing (toll manufacturers) to ensure lowest cost and optimization. Works with purchasing organizations in other regions to qualify suppliers and manage the order process of components.
  • Assists with inter-regional supply chain planning and execution – material, equipment, etc.
  • Maintain integration of plant, sales, customer service, and accounting activities related to supply chain activities.
  • Oversee and coordinate new product introduction process (NEW PIPE) and MDP workflow within the ArrMaz Products BU.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites on weekly S&OP and MRP reviews to ensure timely receipt of raw materials and supply of product to customers
  • Timely reaction to changes in needs and capabilities.
  • Work with QA department within Produce and Classify processes to ensure SAP material, location, contracts, service purchases, etc. are set up and transactions are consistent with Supply Chain and Accounting requirements
  • Manage 4 direct reports (3 Customer Service, 1 Procurement Specialist)
  • Work with Sales and the Supply Chain Team to improve forecasting and translating this to improve the S&OP process and the SAP independent requirements used to drive operations.
  • Manages the process for working with Sales and Customer Service to prioritize shipments and to resolve any outstanding supply issues with customers.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or Supply Chain or equivalent experience.  MBA preferred.
  • 5 years minimum experience in supply chain related field is required. Manufacturing background is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Materials Resource Planning, particularly in an SAP environment
