Production Planner / Scheduler Job

JOB DIMENSIONS
- General purpose: Production Planner role is responsible for planning and scheduling production of products within their assigned perimeter. S/he will be responsible for maintaining close relationships with the local production team and the DAMPE organization. Individuals in this role will have SAP, ISO and related systems proficiency/expertise.
- Works closely with Global Supply Chain, Business Managers, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, to optimize all aspects of the regional supply chain.
ACTIVITIES
- Work directly with Corporate BPO and BU resources to select and deploy scheduling tool for all plant locations
- Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
- Create and maintain an enterprise-wide strategic central plan, analyzing customer order patterns and product transitions to convert the validated Demand Plan into short and long-term capacity plan.
- Attend plant production meetings daily to maintain accurate production order completion dates (ZMD04) for finished goods materials by updating deviations from originally planned completion dates. Collaborates with Production team on management of daily production schedules for all Mulberry assets and provides expertise to regional sites on production conflicts or scheduling needs.
- Coordinate finished goods availability to coincide with strict deadlines associated with various modes of transportation for international/domestics shipments.
- Resolve supply/demand mismatches and propose optimal alternatives.
- Lead daily and bi-weekly MRP reviews to ensure production schedule and raw material needs and deliveries are aligned.
- Coordinate and communicate the Production Schedules and changes to production team, sales team, customer service, and purchasing.
- Works across multiple departments to ensure Inventory goals are met and assets (storage tanks, trailers, railcars) are utilized correctly for all locations. Actively participates in month end and year end cycle counts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly production indicators and various supply chain KPIs to further optimize the production wheel and improve Scheduling Adherence performance for Mulberry assets.
- Monitor VMI dashboard during day shift hours and collaborate production supervisor, transportation and technical sales on replenishment schedules as needed.
- Resolve crisis situations during and after hours of operation while not jeopardizing the customer relationships.
- Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema

- Position based in Mulberry, FL
- Some travel to regional manufacturing sites may be required.
- Working environment is in a chemical facility.
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Extended time on a computer – repetitive motion
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong computer skills required, high level of MicroSoft suite experience, especially Excel is essential.
- Strong interpersonal, organization, communication, problem solving and decision making capabilities
- Shop floor experience or scheduling background in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred
- High level of collaboration and facilitation with both internal and external customers.
- Strong organizational skills in order to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and delegate.
- Strong oral and written communications
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills

- Analytical and process oriented and drive process improvement
- Ability to communicate to all levels of the business.
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline (Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain) with 2-3 years plant experience required or 4-5 years equivalent plant experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing
- ERP Experience: SAP Strongly Preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication, problem solving & decision making skills
- APICS certification is a plus but not required
