JOB DIMENSIONS
General purpose: work with other professionals to identify, evaluate and manage asset reliability risks in order to improve production facilities, reduce incidents of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes. Maintenance best practices and asset management strategies will be employed to continuously improve our current Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Program.
ACTIVITIES
- Responsible for managing the mechanical integrity program (tanks, pressure vessels, over pressure devices and piping system) for North America plants
- Manage Mechanical Integrity inspection contractors and coordinate 3rd party contractors for Condition monitoring and Reliability needs
- Review inspection reports and recommend corrective actions for pressure vessels, piping, tanks, rotating equipment, and safety critical systems.
- Responsible for the implementation of reliability concepts including development of Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance technologies and Preventive Maintenance development in order to achieve high levels of availability of plants assets
- Manage, review and develop P&ID’s for all North America plants.
- Lead or support capital and expense projects from concept through commissioning.
- Identify and manage fixed/rotating equipment bad actors list, lead failure analysis on equipment and recommend corrective or preventive measures
- Development of equipment specific strategies (including lubrications, conditions monitoring, and preventive maintenance)
- Evaluate and develop engineering solutions to eliminate repetitive failures and other problems that adversely impact plant operations
- Perform financial analysis on plant equipment to determine total cost of ownership and identify savings opportunities
- Participate or lead in designing, developing installation specifications, and commissioning plans for new and old equipment’s
- Provide technical and engineering support and troubleshooting Support to maintenance and production.
- Expand MI and Reliability Program to other North American Plants
- Manage and Develop KPI’s for the Mechanical Integrity and reliability department
- Other duties as assigned
- Some travel required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Extremely organized, self-directed, ability to multi-task and document practices on a routine basis, as well as interface and communicate effectively with all departments in a manufacturing setting, required
- Experience with Chemical and Mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment, including Piping, Fluid Mechanics, Pump Mechanics, Electrical Systems, and design, required
- Experience with Advanced Predictive Maintenance technologies, required
- Experience with Mechanical Integrity and API Inspection Program (Tanks, over pressure devices, pressure vessels and, Piping System )
- Experience with Project Management.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required, preferred Mechanical or Chemical Engineer
- 2-5 years’ experience working in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) in a process manufacturing plant, required
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), required
- Experience with finance and/or accounting principles, preferred
