Market Manager, Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining 
- The position reports to the Business Manager, Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining
- Position works closely with Sales/Tech Service/R&D/operations organizations

JOB DIMENSIONS
- Defines and implement business strategies for profitable growth of the Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining business, including long range planning and investment
- Management of business development projects, identification and quantification of market & customer needs along with value proposition
- Management of market and competitive intelligence analysis 

ACTIVITIES
- Develop and implement the growth strategy of the Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining business including strategic partnerships, new business/product development and 5 year planning
- Develop a comprehensive market study (global or regional, as required) for the relevant areas of focus, such as phosphate, ammonium sulfate, potash, TSP, etc. Ensuring this study is regularly updated with the most relevant market information to facilitate a strategic direction.
- Develop and implement the growth strategy of the Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining business, including value proposition, price point, target markets/applications, and business model.
- Lead identification, development and commercializing new applications/market opportunities. Outlining the next Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining opportunities that will establish significant future sales. The primary role encompasses North America & Australia, but this position also supports various Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining teams globally.
- Supplies the organization with relevant, reliable, and actionable information related to industry trends, demographics, competitors, prospects, and customers. Utilizes feedback, including surveys, to mine data that leads to informed decisions.
- Utilizing marketing research, identifies potential new segments within the Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining space. Works closely with the commercial team to develop and implement profitable business plans to enter those segments.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other Arkema BU’s that sell into the Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining Market. Support and engage the GKAM model for account management.
- Marketing Communications – Develops and implements marketing communication strategies promoting the Arkema brand. Work closely with the Marcomm team to develop and implement annual Marcomm strategy plans for the Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining. The plan should include, but not limited to, trade shows & industry events, press releases, white paper & editorials, product launches and the development of media (print & social) for product & brand promotion.
- Leads and prioritizes new business development (NBD) projects for Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining. Manages the NBD project portfolio for Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining. Focus on regional (and global) business development and prioritization / alignment with Technical Service / Applications / R&D related to activities and support. CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to effectively manage development projects and lead project teams including internal and external (other BUs, distributors…) participants.
- Willing to travel approximately 30 - 40% of time, including both domestic and international travel.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Sales volume, revenue, and margin for business development activities
- Global trademark, branding, licensing, and marketing leadership
- Management of the Crop Nutrition & Fertilizer Mining Project Portfolio
- Strategy and Market Plans for core business and new product / business development projects
- Managing NA marketing (including communications and conferences) and travel budgets
- Developing and maintaining minimum base price and targeted selling prices for in-scope products


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science, or direct work in a related field of Mining/Fertilizer production & processing for a minimum of 7 years.
- Minimum of 5 years, new business/Product Development and Portfolio Management.
- MBA desirable
- Experience within the Mining/Fertilizer production and processing industry is a plus.
- Strong customer focus. Able to establish and strengthen executive level relationships within key global accounts.
- Proven financial acumen and understanding of product line, platform and/or project valuation calculations.
- Ability to concurrently support and/or manage multiple and complex projects in a fast paced and competitive environment.
- Acknowledged leadership skills with the ability to successfully interact with and influence other functions – Regional Sales and operations, R&D, Technical Service, Supply Chain, HES.
- Experience and knowledge of the use and application of value chain analysis, product and technology road mapping, market segmentation, value analysis, competitive analysis and other current best practice marketing concepts.
- Efficient with computer and communication tools (ERPs, CRMs, standard software (Excel, Power point, etc.))
- Cultural awareness and willingness to travel globally.
