Business Director- Infrastructure

JOB DIMENSIONS

-              Reporting to the CEO of ArrMaz Products Inc, the Business Director provides the strategic direction for the Infrastructure Sales and Marketing functions.  Establishes and monitors strategic initiatives, sales, and service delivered to customers.  Establishes procedures and solutions to meet financial goals set by the organization. Determines appropriate sales and marketing growth opportunities and ensures the positive image of products and services are of the highest standards and meet the strategic initiatives of the company. 

 

ACTIVITIES

-              Develop and implement business strategies, which will support the overall goals of the ArrMaz business including safety, growth and profitability objectives

-              Management of the Infrastructure Sales and Marketing Teams. Selecting and development of team members to ensure the appropriate talent is identified, developed and retained. 

-              Operate with high level of autonomy while ensuring proper communication and alignment with key stakeholders.

-              P & L of the US Infrastructure functions

-              Develops project pipeline to fuel growth of the business

-              Responsible for market and competitive intelligence

-              Understand and anticipate market trends

-              Build and support multi-level customer, supplier and industry relationships

-              Identify opportunities and assessing risk factors

-              Coordinate process improvement efforts

-              Oversee and accelerate new product development by driving customer intimacy and alignment of customer needs

-              Drive alignment of R&D with customer evolution

-              Interact with customers and vendors

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

-              Working environment is in a chemical facility.  The job requires some physical work that can involve routine lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, and standing for long hours. 

-              Extended time on a computer – repetitive motion

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

-              Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and influence many levels of an organization.

-              Demonstrated leadership abilities

-              Proficiency in Microsoft Office products – intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Access and Power Point

-              ERP software skills is required.

-              Interpersonal team building skills

-              Strong analytical skills.

-              Project management skills a plus.

-              Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, international and domestic

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

-              B.S. in Business, Marketing Engineering required, advanced degree PhD or MBA preferred

-              10+ years relevant experience in commercial roles, ideally within the specialty chemical sector, or other application focused in the asphalt industries

-              P&L ownership

-              Strategic development

-              Management of cross functional teams

-              Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, business acumen, keen market awareness and excellent customer focus are required.

-              Proven ability to develop team members and restructure and transform organizations, integrate businesses created through mergers and acquisitions, and deliver results.

-              Strong initiative and strong interpersonal skills are needed. Ability to be effective working in direct and in matrix organizations.
