Job Title: Production Engineer
Production Support (90%)
- Day to day monitoring of process conditions, utilization of engineering tools (SPC, Data Historian, Six Sigma Tools) to assess plant performance, identify and address deviations.
- Daily support to Operations in plant troubleshooting and documentation of learning.
- Works closely with Production Supervisor to execute production plan.
- Works closely with Process Engineer to identify systemic process improvement opportunities in Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Throughput. Execution of DOE's, plant trials.
- Owner of SOP's, updates, improvements and training package.
- Creation of process monitoring tools to ensure proactive process efficiency.
- Updates daily AU/OAU data to track process deviations.
- Works with Process Engineer to segregate AU/OAU systemic bad actors from "one-offs". Incident investigation (IMPACT) team leader.
- Safety and Environmental KPI’s on daily basis
- Production schedule and rate.
Other task (10%)
- Read company communications weekly, i.e. production advisories, emails, etc.
- Complete scheduled periodic training on time and as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Ensures compliance of regulatory and plant safety and environmental requirements with special emphasis on Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Ensure that all incidents are reported, investigated and action items assigned.
- Ensure that all HES training, standards, policies and procedures are followed.
- Demonstrates commitment to HES through high visibility and actions.
- Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
- Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
- Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience working at a production facility
- Good computer skills including Microsoft office
- Communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership and supervisory skills, teamwork facilitation skills
- Problem solving and analytical ability, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to train process operators regarding procedure and consistency
- High level of confidence.
