Mission Details
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting operations. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of monthly management results, corporate financial reporting, compliance with statutory/tax obligations, internal controls and support in forecasting, annual budgets process as required.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of monthly management results, and corporate financial reporting.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations monthly and follow up reconciling items.
• Support forecasting, annual budgets process as required.
• Manage statutory reports and tax filing for the Bostik and Arkema entities.
• Manage internal/external audit processes. Ensure compliance of delegation of authority and internal controls per the Group internal control framework.
• Preparation of transfer pricing per corporate requirements.
• Lead financial management system (Policies/guidelines/procedures/work instructions) creation, review and update processes.
• Oversee key accounting processes performed by Malaysia FSSC ie AP / AR / GL / treasury / banking related matters to ensure business receives right level of support.
• Provide hands on management and leadership support to the finance team.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of financial models, management reports, audit and the budgeting and forecasting processes. Drive efficiencies through improving process and reporting standardization.
Required Profile
• Finance related degree with a professional qualification preferred (CPA or CA equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce.
• Minimum of 10 years’ Accounting & Financial experience, ideally from Big 4 and Manufacturing.
• Technical savvy and demonstrate strong experiences in reporting, statutory and tax compliance.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of key financial processes and related controls.
• Experience with SAP, Excel and BI reporting.
• Results driven, open minded and able to adapt & lead team through operational changes.
• Able to communicate complex financial information to auditors and tax office.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, and relationship building skills.
• Collaborative and team player with a hands-on approach.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen insights.
• Experiences of SAP implementations/Business process changes are highly regarded.
