Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for creating and executing multi-faceted communications strategies for global audiences and delivering creative, measurable and impactful solutions that directly support business objectives. We are looking for a leader who will manage Fluorochemicals Group’s marketing communication activities for Forane® and Foranext® markets, including 1233zd, heat transfer, specialties, and acids. This position reports to the Global Business Director, Fluorochemicals and interface among Fluorochemicals technical, marketing team and corporate communications group, including specific global interactions.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop and refine integrated marketing communications strategy and brand positioning plans to ensure communications to customers, OEMs, repackers, distributors, partners and other key constituents are clear, impactful, and consistent.


  • Prepare and execute the branding and communications for 1233zd, Heat Transfer, Energy and Electronics, Polymers and Acids
  • Increase Arkema’s visibility and relevance worldwide through the creation and execution of traditional and non-traditional communication channels, including research, public relations and thought leadership, advertising, digital marketing, trade shows, collateral, sales support efforts, videos, social media, etc.
  • Drive the communications strategy process for Fluorochemicals, including creating positioning and messaging, ensuring alignment with Arkema’s global branding and marketing.
  • Partner with business marketing, sales, technical and application teams to develop compelling content for new product launches such as 1233zd and lead generation campaigns, including messaging development and implementation through strategic communication tactics that align with business objectives.
  • Direct the creation of sales and marketing collateral (brochures, application bulletins, sell sheets, presentations).
  • Lead the digital/web strategy for Fluorochemicals, including content creation and optimization.


Thought Leadership, External and Internal Communications


  • Identify and develop positions on key industry topics that promote Arkema as an authority in fluorine-based Specialty Materials. Develop and execute a long-term plan to elevate Arkema’s image in selected areas.
  • Ensure business leaders are prepared and adequately trained for media opportunities, speaking engagements and related public events by creating clear and targeted on-point key messaging.
  • Develop, manage and execute communications plans that ensure Fluorochemicals team members are informed, aligned and engaged.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications on company-wide programs and initiatives where assigned businesses may be included or featured, such as the company's website, corporate branding campaigns, digital or social media activity, internal or external news coverage, etc.


Administrative and Metrics


  • Manage and collaborate with outside agencies and vendors (advertising, communications and digital agencies, public relations firms, fulfillment houses, exhibit houses) on communication program development and execution.
  • Develop, own and manage the marketing communications budgets, including monthly tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure marketing communication strategies and programs are robust, impactful, creative, results-oriented, and measurable.
  • Develop and enhance communications-related performance metrics to measure effectiveness, progress, and business impact.


Work Context:


  • Based at the headquarters location (King of Prussia). Ability to travel 30%
  • Has regular interactions with both internal and external contacts (e.g., Sales, BDI, R&D, manufacturing, customers, and partners). 
  • Effectively balances a rich portfolio of marketing activities.
  • Operates in a highly confidential, dynamic, and very fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Meeting objectives requires cooperation from various groups/individuals necessitating the fostering of strong relationships throughout the global organization.
  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.).
  • Support and promoted the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.




  • Proven ability to innovate and improve upon existing business practices.
  • Proven communications skills. Ability to develop strong relationships and work with technical individuals to build content and communication.
  • Strong writing and editing skills (strategic targeted messaging, promotional copy, web and email content, press materials, webcasts, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, manage and meet deadlines for multiple tasks and projects
  • Attention to detail and bias to action
  • Proven project management and third party management experience.
  • Knowledge of Marketing, Sales, and Business Processes required.
  • Good digital marketing skills and demonstrate a high degree of initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required as well as the ability to solve problems and present solutions.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority and interact with individuals at all levels within the organization.




  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
  • 10 years of functional experience in marketing communications, business or brand communications or related field.
  • Development and execution of B2B marketing communication strategies, plans, and messaging.
  • Digital Marketing Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and MS Office suite is required.
