Financial  Analyst, GASP

 

Situation in organization

 The Financial Analyst reports to the Director of Purchasing Performance, Has one contractor analyst as direct report, to assist in data extraction.

 

Key Activities and responsibilities

 

Financial Reporting & Analytics (60%) 

  •  Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts for both Logistics and GASP department on a monthly and annual basis
  •  Implement and administer established accounting and controlling policies, procedures and practices to meet finance requirements supporting short and long-term business needs
  • Provide KPI reports and gather feedback on group effectives by meeting with Plant management
  • Lead the Global Savings Tracking and Analysis Process
  • Develop and present global and US savings results for both GASP and Logistics
  • Lead and improve the spend and savings analysis tools
  • Lead and manage savings declaration and tracking process for all businesses and sites. Manage savings budget process for both Logistics and GASP
  • Develop and Manage Spend Analysis of US spend data for Logistics and GASP
  • Lead development of key global metrics to drive savings performance improvement
  • Perform detailed quarterly analysis of spend for Logistics and GASP
  • Perform detailed quarterly analysis for GASP savings on a US and on a global basis
  • Prepare annual reports on Logistics and GASP for parent company
  • Manage and track supplier rebates program
  • Manage, train and coach temporary positions that support spend and supplier reporting processes
  • Responsible for setting and enforcing savings definition rules
  • Provide spend analysis and other metrics to category managers leading sourcing events
  • Prepare and analyze cost center expenses versus budget
  • Support the Supplier Relationship Management Process
  • Support Procurement Master Data Maintenance activities
  • Monthly KPIs issuance including savings report

 

Global and US Initiatives and Communication

  • Prepare BU governance meeting document and data
  • Process and Tools Improvement, Assist the Director of Performance for the preparation of Document for project implementation

 

Context and environment

  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
  • Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents
  • Position must follow all Arkema, Inc. guidelines, policies and procedures. 
  • Travel to Arkema sites as required

 

Required Education/Qualifications /Work experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance
  • 7+ years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/Finance within an industrial environment
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, excellent PowerPoint skills and strong knowledge of SAP
  • Power BI
  • Proficient in Analytical Software knowledge
  • International business experience, comfort dealing with international issues preferred
