Maintenance/Reliability Systems Specialist Job

SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION:
Reports to the Reliability Engineering and Projects Manager.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
The Maintenance/Reliability Systems Specialist is responsible for providing work process support for key reliability and maintenance management systems. This role will interface with the appropriate reliability & maintenance resources, engineering, operations, vendor resources, etc., to resolve, improve, and drive reliability & maintenance activities, support maintenance/reliability operational excellence and systems, in a safe, responsible, and environmentally sound manner, which is in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Responsible for ensuring that all AIMS HESQ & compliance with OSHA 1910, environmental regulations & permits and quality systems.
KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major responsibilities for the Maintenance/Reliability Systems Specialist include but are not limited to the following:
Safety: 10%
- HESQ responsibilities include but are not restricted to the following:
- Champions and participates fully in plant safety initiatives and programs including Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program
- Demonstrates commitment to HES through high visibility and engagement
Reliability/Maintenance Systems: 70%
- Serve, as Plant Super-User of the SAP Computerized Maintenance/Reliability Management System
- Responsible for SAP maintenance equipment criticality classification
- Own the SAP maintenance services workflow to Goods Receipt invoices process
- Create and maintain SAP Maintenance Management System equipment functional locations tracking database
- Serve as plant SAP trainer
- Responsible for work order completion verification/reconciliation
- Support tracking management of warehouse inventory, documentation and systems
- Owner of plant reliability & maintenance metrics and associated KPI’s using SAP data/reporting
- Utilizing AutoCAD, execute document control activities to ensure technical drawings are up to date and accurate (P&IDs, I&E loop sheets, isometrics, etc.)
- Actively participates in the development of plant conditions monitoring system (PCMS) and other mechanical integrity tools
Plant CAPEX Support: 10%
- Responsible for the execution/planning of annual & long-term CAPEX reviews
- Collaborates with Plant engineers to coordinate project completion/closure
- Develops and maintains budgets for small capital projects to support continuous improvements
- Responsible for accurate settlement of CAPEX & Maintenance financial transactions Drive funding activates for capital spare replacements (IsoTarget)
Turnaround Support: 10%
- Coordination activities for plant projects, maintenance and plant turnarounds
- Support development of TAR job packages as defined by turnaround and project guidelines
- Reconcile plan to actual charges at turnaround project closure (includes other CAPEX). Collaborates with plant accounting resources to ensure accuracy of financial TAR activities, including CAPEX projects
- Executes turnaround cost tracking & controls activities
- Executes real-time cost control communications and assist with invoicing
- Responsible for TAR document retention Other assigned duties, as required
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT:
- This position is located at the Houston plant and works in a fast-paced environment
- No Travel requirements
- Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
- Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
- Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents
REQUIRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma with additional 2-year technology degree or applicable technical certifications with minimum of 8 years of maintenance and/or project experience in a multi-discipline working environment; in lieu of degree, additional years of relevant experience may be considered
- Highly proficient in SAP
- Strong computer related skills, efficient electronic documentation, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, is a plus
- Demonstrated Problem solving abilities
