This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, and is responsible for all work defined in this job description.  Work guidance will be provided by the Warehouse Materials Specialist for instruction around warehouse management.  Will give direction to supporting resources that provide the plant with soft craft support.


Managing and oversee scaffold insulation & paint/coating activities on site.  Perform assistance in various areas of warehouse functions related to the receiving, validating, stocking, order picking, issuing, computer data entering of spare parts inventory.  Responsible for complying with all AIMS HESQ policies & practices including ISO-9001, OHSAS-18001 and RCMS.  This includes compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. For example, OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, etc.


Support Site EHSQ 10%

  • Participate in plant safety initiatives around CHATS (BBS), Plant Ground Inspections (PGI) efforts, Site Safety Team, etc.
  • Follow safe work practices related to permitting, waste disposal, decontamination of equipment, PPE processes, etc.
  • Comply with Houston plant leadership expectations.

Warehouse assisting 65%

  • Maintain physical inventory order of storeroom and satellite storage areas (Zone “B”, dry storage, oil storage).
  • Be engaged with MOE elements (KPI’s, workflows) to drive best in class warehouse performance.
  • Utilize SMART to drive continuous improvements in the warehouse.
  • Responsible for inventory of materials via SAP through receiving, issuing cycle counts.
  • Maintains respirator and harness equipment along with inspections.
  • Assist with managing stock strategies. (Overflow, organization, BOM’s).
  • Track material backlog of non-stock items.
  • Maintain satellite stock levels. (Insulation & Insulation supplies, paint & paint supplies, conduit, pipe, tubing & tubing tray)
  • Ensure warehouse operation in compliance with established safety, health, and environmental policies.
  • Assist with workflow invoicing activities via SAP.
  • Order misc. items for the site. (Fuel, cylinder gas, propane, Ice).
  • Responsible for document and retention of material test reports (MTR’s) for pipe and pipe components received on site from orders.
  • Maintain the repairable work process with real time data and transparency with outside service companies.

SIPA 25%

  • Responsible for scaffold, insulation, & paint jobs and materials. Ensures cleanliness and order of scaffold yard area, and storage of insulation supplies.
  • Support, facilitate, and provide direction for soft craft contract companies on site.  Provide direction to scope of work, and update progress on schedule.
  • Identify and develop cost savings opportunities.
  • Assist with after hours on-call support around scaffold and insulation.
  • Provide the planner with Scaffold, Insulation, & Paint Scopes, and materials for planned maintenance and capital work execution.
  • Responsible for scaffold, insulation, and paint during TAR’s, including scope, materials, and execution plan for contractor selected.


This position works closely with maintenance resources, procurement and accounting personnel to ensure accuracy of the inventory management process.  Follows corporate policies and procedures, codes of conduct and signature authority.  Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.  Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)  Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents.


  • Minimum of a High School education, with 5+ years of plant experience
  • Exceptional business ethics and ability to communicate professionally with all vendors and customers, as well as with plant personnel and management
  • Proficient in soft trades application to industry. Includes Scaffold/Insulation/Paint/Asbestos
  • Basic Microsoft Office experience desired – Word, Excel, etc.


  • Knowledgeable with industrial material in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Proficient with organizational skills and the ability multi-task
  • Strong skills in writing, oral communication, computer applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.), and working with number and coding systems
  • Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated focus for Customer Service
  • Self-starter in demonstrating leadership, learning and development skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with all functions of the plant, utilize strategic thinking while prioritizing tasks based on plant and business needs
  • Able to influence without formal authority
