Region:  XL Brands – North East/Central 

Job title:

Territory Sales Manager

Situation in organisation (enclose a copy of your organisation chart)
  • Reports to Distribution Sales Manager
Job dimensions
  • Liaison for Marketing Team / Sales Management to identify key territory opportunities.
  • Responsible for selling full product offering of XL Brands adhesives
  • Manage & Grow XL Brands Accounts covering assigned territory.
  • Execute and implement the XL Brands sales market plan.   
Activities
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Manager to define Targets and Goals.   
  • Provide on-going information on industry advances and product needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage accounts, prepare timely sales reports, and provide technical needs.
  • Trouble shoots account problems and facilitate technical solutions for the customer.
  • Use Salesforce.com as part of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and daily territory management.
  • Works closely with Distributor Sales Reps
  • Responsible for training Distributor Sales Reps and End Users on proper product application
  • 50% - 75% travel to field locations

The job involves working directly with our existing distribution accounts as well as identifying and targeting potential new distribution.   The job also involves working with contractors and independent retail customers to drive business through distribution.  Architectural sales calls are part of the Territory Manager’s responsibility, including presentations to groups.

 

Accountabilities

  • Accountable to the C&C  Regional Sales Manager, Bostik Inc. and it’s shareholders
  • Execute strategic plans developed by the Territory Manager as well as overall Sales and Marketing company objectives

Qualifications / experience required

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Business or related field preferred OR HS Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience in flooring installation
  • 5+ Years of Experience in Sales & Marketing with exposure to complex sales processes
  • Strong understanding of flooring marketplace and industry applications
  • Ability to perform hands on demonstrations with flooring products
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, listening, organizational agility, and presentation skills
  • Able to Travel 50% - 75% of the time
  • Skilled with computer, Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Familiarity with SalesForce.com Preferred
