Account Manager for the North America segments of Amines, Sulfonyls and Thioglycolics.  This role reports to the NA Business Manager and takes strategic direction from the Global Business Managers based in Colombes, France.  The position has frequent interactions with many stakeholders including external customers, regional VP of Thiochemicals, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, R&D and Corporate groups (i.e. Legal, Product Safety, etc.).

 

This role is responsible for managing all sales activities with customers for the mentioned market segments.  Experience with channel partners and distribution management is a key for success.  The candidate should have experience with managing all parts of the sales cycle.  Pricing strategy, market intelligence, sales strategy, contract negotiation, monthly forecasts, annual budget preparation are all essential components of this role.   Marketing aspects include support for external communications, promotional activities, and industry conference participation. 

 

Preferred background is 5 to 7 years’ experience in the chemical industry in technical, sales or marketing roles.  Experience with distributor and channel partner management.  Knowledge of applications and manufacturing segments where these products can be used such as coatings, agrochemicals, oil and gas, chemical manufacturing, electronics, mining.  The candidate should have strong analytical and problem solving skills, solid proficiency with MS Office, Salesforce and ability to quickly learn new platforms.  They should be an effective communicator and have an ability to influence a matrix organization.
