Regional Human Resources Manager (South East)


Situation in organisation 

Reports to Human Resources Business Partner C&C with strong relationship to local Site Plant Manager(s)

Individual contributor role providing mentorship and HR Subject Matter Expert support and enable success of Administrative HR Contacts in South East sites

Key partnerships with business HRBP and relevant core HR Manager

Job dimensions

  • Serve as the HR Manager for specified manufacturing work teams within the South East – Greenville, SC and Conyers, GA shared focus in the region
  • Lead local HR activity ramp up of Greenville, SC growth initiatives to include but not limited to talent attraction, onboarding, development, and retention
  • Coordinate and influence integrated site Human Resources activities through both an immediate and strategic lens



  • Serve as a valued partner and trusted advisor while providing both strategic and generalist HR support to respective internal work groups
  • Provide HR Manager support and counsel, consistent with organization values, to regional sites/populations to include performance management, employee/labor relations, talent selection, talent management, and more
  • Partner with employees and managers to ensure consistent, values based application of HR practices, policies, systems, and procedures
  • Lead HR related projects/initiatives within regional sites/populations consistent with group policies and business goals and objectives
  • Serve as key member of site Plant Leadership team to achieve site goals and progress relevant Human Resources initiatives
  • Guide regional site leadership using developed communication and facilitation skills and a broad working knowledge of key HR functional areas to include; organization development and design, compensation fundamentals, talent management, compliance matters, and employment law
  • Participate as member of HR Team to assist with other HR initiatives and responsibilities while representing Bostik, Inc. HR collaborating effectively across sites, Business Units, and group-wide as defined
  • Participate in development of HR Team strategic initiatives, annual objectives, and budget
  • Practices safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines, and Bostik specific EHS expectations


Context and environment

The job involves a mixture of localized and strategic, collaborative work within a manufacturing environment and through collaboration across the HR team. The Regional HR Manager role requires residence near the Greenville, SC general area to enable reasonable daily commute in SC and the ability to support GA sites routinely as the role expands its reach. A strong understanding of HR practices is required to ensure competitive HR practices and counsel is provided within an appropriate culture framework while meeting compliance standards and enabling an environment of open dialogue.



  • Broad HR Management responsibility for manufacturing sites within the South East, consistent with corporate and group practices


Qualifications / experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with relevant work experience; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5+ Years of HR level experience, some supporting a manufacturing client group
  • Career progression shows broad HR Generalist knowledge and application in fundamental HR functions
  • Builds effective relationships and able to communicate effectively across all populations
  • Logical decision maker, project management mindset, change management awareness
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills a must
  • Thrives in an open, growth-oriented business. Strong organization and multi-tasking skills. Seen as a “go to” resource. Positive change agent.
  • Naturally builds strong relationships across all levels of the organization, with key stakeholders, and external partnerships.
  • Some domestic travel required within the region as natural part of the role, additional domestic travel minimal (<10%)
  • Some union labor relations experience beneficial, not required
