Job Purpose

The Mixing / Production Operator is responsible for safely producing products in accordance with established batch formulations using mixing, blending, and packaging equipment while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce products according to batch formulations using mixing, blending, and packaging equipment
  • Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality procedures
  • Accurately record material usage manually and in computer systems
  • Complete batch documentation and production records
  • Operate and monitor mixers, blenders, and packaging lines
  • Adjust equipment to maintain safe and efficient operation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain work area cleanliness and organization
  • Collaborate with team members and support cross-functional tasks
  • Use computer systems for tracking production and performance

Accountabilities

  • Comply with Bostik, OSHA, EPA, and local regulations
  • Perform minor maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning
  • Complete tasks such as changeovers and startups on time
  • Reduce waste and improve efficiency through problem solving
  • Maintain product quality in line with ISO standards
  • Support safety, operational, and financial performance goals

Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read English and perform basic math
  • Experience operating production equipment
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willingness to work overtime and off shifts

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Standing/walking for extended periods
  • Frequent lifting of 12–50 lbs and occasional up to 75 lbs
  • Repetitive manual tasks and material handling
  • Use of production equipment, tools, and systems
  • Ability to multitask with minimal supervision
