  • 60% Manage all activities within and associated with the Dublin Pilot Plant.
  • 40% Clarity project work

 

This is a centralized role working within the Recipe Industrialization team supporting all PAC manufacturing operations and product development in the AMAS region.  This includes managing daily activities within the Dublin Pilot Plant, supporting product and process development, and capability reviews to support stage gate processes.

Activities (tasks, resource, outcome)
  • Manage Pilot Plant operations (60%):
    • Lead pre-run risk assessments and approve batch procedures to ensure the safe operation of the facility and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversight asset management, maintenance, & HSE programs.
    • Develop expense & capital plans to upkeep and improve the Dublin pilot plant and execute to budget.
    • Coordinate the production schedule and support production: troubleshooting, data collection, analysis, and report out.
    • Ensure the timely and efficient production of quality product to meet internal & external customer needs.
    • Maintain the availability of materials and operating supplies to ensure continuous operation.
    • Analyzes batch data and documents technical findings from experimental work, and production trials at pilot and plant scale trials.
    • Communicates learnings to improve product consistency and quality.
  • Support Clarity projects (40%):
    • Continually develop and utilize knowledge of plant capabilities to provide input on process design.
    • Drive scale-up and commercialization activities within the plants.

  • Participate in cross functional teams to ensure the success of projects.
  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident, or injury incidents.
  • Travel up to 25% to support plant scale-up activities
  • Proficient with digital technology

 

Accountabilities (purpose)

  • The purpose of the role is to lead and manage scale-up activities for technologies within Bostik Industrial Adhesives.  the pilot plant:
    • Ensuring the PP operates to all corporate and regulatory EHS requirements.
    • Maintain accurate and timely support to development teams.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of PP manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Strong communication skill: able to interpret and explain complex technical issues to a variety of audiences.

Qualifications / experience required

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering and >5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, self-starter comfortable managing competing priorities
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Delta V DCS and SAP preferred
