Joining the Surfactants and Oil Additives BU at the Department Surfactants & Polyols, you will report to the Business Director Crop Nutrition.
The Business Development Manager Crop Nutrition designs and implements the sales growth roadmap for our existing product lines of coatings for fertilizers and granulation aids.He/She develops new market segments in crop nutrition markets such as bio stimulants and micro nutrients.



The Department Surfactants & Polyols develops, manufactures and sells Specialty Surfactants and Polyols. We are organized around 4 main activities: Road construction, Organoclays, Crop Nutrition and Formulations & Polyols markets
Crop Nutrition activity represents 55M€ annual sales in the fields of coatings for fertilizers (hydrophobation, anti caking and dust control), granulation aids and floatation agent for Potash and Phosphate.  
Our Products are manufactured in 2 European plants and formulated in a pan European network of tollers.
Our Products range gather tailor made formulations adapted to customer needs and fertilizer types sold through Arkema's dedicated commercial network. 




- Define and Develop the products offer and specific solutions for the targeted markets and applications
- Collect and analyze the market’s needs (customers analysis, competitive intelligence, markets trends)
- Train the Sales Force on the products and solutions as well as on the market applications
- Visit key suppliers in coordination Purchasing  
- Visit key targeted customers, define scope of work for each target and offer technical support to the Sales Force
- Own and drive the Opportunity Pipe (Development plan for new customers/products/raw materials on the targeted markets and applications)
- Interact with the R&D team and propose  the priorities of the Application Lab
- Manage the industrialization of new formulations/products in our plants or tollers 
- In general manage all aspects of time to market from development, pilotage, industrialization and sales through Stage Gate process when needed
- Interact with Global Marketing team to coordinate in Europe and Middle East global marketing initiatives (developments in new markets, global market studies…) 
- Coordinate the quality control of our tollers 
- Select, prepare and attend professional conferences, fairs, webinars
- With Business Director and R&D ensure our presence in professional associations to anticipate and influence regulatory decisions
- Lead the preparation of technical documentation (Technical Data Sheets, Products Catalogue)


Competencies :

- Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Agronomics Engineer with Commercial Background (Master degree level)
- Experience in a similar function at a market player acting in the fertilizer additives market or other fields of agro market additives (bio stimulants, micronutrients, coloring agents, seeds coating…).
- Expertise in the targeted markets and applications, 
- if possible good knowledge of formulation  in a R&D job position concerning coatings, or adhesives or emulsions.
- 10 year professional experience is required in a technical commercial/marketing function related to the above mentioned business and in a R&D position with sales exposure. 
- Ability for team work in pluridisplinary environment and good communication skills
- Ability for prospection work (50% travels) and commercial development
- Autonomy and open-mindedness are required
- Fluent English is mandatory, Spanish is appreciated
