You have a Master's Degree in Chemistry with at least 10 years of experience developing market or in Sales (B to B), ideally within the chemical or adhesives industry


You have a strong experience in Business/Market development and/or technical sales experience in Chemicals/Automotive/Adhesives. A specific knowledge of the battery market sector will be an additional benefit.


Your solid technical background will help you identify solutions and opportunities for customers, as well as to design and promote Bostik’s value offer.


Due to the European scope of the position, you are fluent in English. A good knowledge of German would be an asset but is not mandatory for the role.


You are well-known for your well developed interpersonal and communication skills, which allow you to connect with customer of diverse cultural and knowledge background. Your influencing skills are strong an will be put to use with people at all levels and functions, internally and externally. Finally, your ability to self-motivate and your tenacity in focusing for results will help you achieve your goals.

Your future responsibilities:

Reporting to the Global Head of Business Development Battery Market, your goal is to focus and grow Bostik presence and penetration of the EV and more generally Battery markets across EMEA territory.


Your main missions will be the following:


  • Identify new business development opportunities in line with Bostik’s growth strategy for the battery market, coordination of all EMEA growth initiatives and projects for the region
  • Evaluation and understanding of customer needs (OEM/OES) / SOW and its transcription to R&D with support from TS
  • Guide the design of Bostik’s technological roadmap, offerings and value proposition to address opportunities in this market 
  • Sponsor and lead cross-functional projects to scope the appropriate product range/application and manage the roll-out with appropriate training and marcom support
  • Develop and manage the related product portfolio and projects pipeline from the justification of the business case to the roll-out at customers.
  • Monitor external environment (gather and evaluate relevant market, competitor and customer information) and ensure to understand market dynamics and key trends in the battery market (technologies, applications and involved A&S), to determine opportunities/threats, to define technical and general growth road map and key targets with required promotional strategies.
  • Identify key players and new prospects in the battery ecosystem
  • Attend and represent Bostik at relevant industry events to support the promotion of Bostik technologies and uncover market insights and data
  • Monitor the existing business to identify and address trends (opportunities/threats), work cross-functionally with R&D, PLM to identify and execute cost improvement initiatives (LEAP) aiming for better profitability and competitiveness. 
  • Support the definition and implementation of the KAM program with targeted accounts, and contribute to identify higher level contacts
  • Ensure compliance with regional forecasting and reporting guidelines
