Mission

Reducing Energy consumption as well as CO2 emission is a priority according to objectives of both Arkema and China. Then building our Energy reduction and CO2 reduction roadmap is a key for the Changshu platform.

During 24 months, in compliance with Arkema Directive or standards, you will:

• Drive the building of the Changshu Platform Roadmap for Energy consumption and CO2 emission reduction,

• Interact with local and global process teams, local operations & global engineers in order to define the roadmap, follow up the implementation of action plan, provide feedback of finalized actions to site executive committee & BU energy leader,

• Work closely with the BUs and units Energy Leaders Network and work closely with the sister plants, to set up a similar system for energy management digitalization and other innovation,

• Set up the site energy consumption dashboard, follow up, and report energy data,

• Contribute to the site energy audit: with an internal working group or external help, draw up an inventory of the current situation (energy balance, energy efficiency, major issues), analyze and investigate alternative paths for improvement, and propose an action plan,

• Be responsible for implementing Arkema energy best practices in the site,

• Contribute to monitor the compliance with regulatory and other requirements,

• Be an Ambassador for energy efficiency in the plant.

Required Profile

You have at least two (2) years of experience as process engineer, after a background from engineering school, chemical process engineering major (without counting a possible Phd),
• School preference: All generalist engineering schools (Polytechnique, Centrale, ENSAM, Mines...) or with chemical engineering specialism (ENSIC, ENSIACET, ENSCCF...,)
• You work in English and should interact with Chinese Ecosystem – Chinese speaking is a big plus,
• You are curious, you believe in social & sustainable impact innovation,
• You demonstrates open and social behaviors,
• You are autonomous and know how to work in a global & fast paced environment,
• You like being a coach and teach people,
• Computer and presentation skills needed, Aspen Plus is a plus.

Context

The selected candidate will receive a VIE allowance according to the Business France rates.
