The Supply Chain Analyst reports to the S&OP Manager and will assist in supporting that role, amongst other activities in Supply Chain.


Job Dimensions

The Supply Chain Analyst supports the Supply Chain function by applying analytical skills to identify trends and contribute to data preparation for S&OP meetings. Monitors stock levels to identify any supply/demand mismatches.


Business Complexity Dimensions: > 180 Customers; > 400 Products; > 17 Source Pts; > 1000 Customer Ship-To / Product Combinations


Customer Planning Optimization:  >18,000 shipments per year


Customer Liaison/Advocate: > 20,000 Orders / year / Multiple Sellers


Support Revenue Stream of Arkema, Inc.: >750MM Wet pounds


Key Activities and Responsibilities


Support Supply Chain operations for (Arkema Inc. Business Unit) plants, tolling operations, and import of product, including: 

  • Complete transactions, identify trends and potential cost savings and asset optimization opportunities
  • Support supply chain processes (Inventory, MRP/DRP, global ERP order entry, third party stock replenishment – STO, third party transactional support, Outline Agreements, PR/PO, etc.)
  • Validate and process vendor invoices
  • Execute tolling activities as defined by Supply Chain Manager
  • Serve as the “Master Backup Planner” for all of the production sites.
  • Utilize SC KPI SMART dashboard track/analyze various supply chain performance indicators
  • Participate in short/mid-term supply chain projects


Support the Sales and Operations Planning, Execution process by managing the following activities:

  • Prepare data for S&OP meetings
  • Liaise with regional and global supply chain and swap partners/vendors to monitor balances and stock levels to identify out of balance scenarios
  • Prepare demand review using appropriate forecasting tools
  • Administrate demand forecast updates in SAP as part of ACR’s S&OP process and supporting the S&OP Manager.
  • Liaise between BU and global teams to aid in validation of global reporting initiatives
  • Monitor inventory quality KPI and develop action plans for reduction of subprime inventory


Support Supply Chain initiatives, reporting, including digitalization: 

  • Administer master data maintenance in SAP, as required.
  • Utilize the Global Depot Database to create and finalize service agreements (contracts) to be in compliance with Arkema’s requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation of processes and tools for improved inter-region activities as designated by the Supply Chain Directors
  • Support the implementation and adoption of tools and continuous improvement of digital initiatives


Context and Environment

  • This position is based in Cary, NC. Periodic travel may be required to terminals, tollers, training sessions, and conferences. Less than 5% travel is expected.  
  • This position is a focal point for the business and manufacturing, and works as a liaison between Global Supply Chain, Business Managers, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Logistics, Purchasing, Finance, Marketing, Regulatory, Third Party terminals, warehouses, suppliers, competitors and carriers, etc. to optimize all aspects of the regional supply chain
  • This position leads necessary activities to ensure the operating plans can be executed and meet the commercial demands, and lead activities to resolve problems that do occur
  • Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
  • Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc(e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents


Required Education/Qualifications /Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or Technical field                                               
  • 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Customer Service                                    
  • ERP experience
  • Experience in Transportation Management Systems required  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate Excel skills)                                                                                                                   
  • Experience in SC Optimization Systems (i.e. Picaso)
  • Proficient in Power BI Dashboards
  • APICS Certification a plus                    
  • SAP experience required
