The Application Technologist works under the direction of an Applications chemist on formulations development and product development.



  • Conduct laboratory work on multiple projects under the direction of an applications chemist
  • Conduct work in a safe, neat, and clean manner
  • Responsible for making and evaluating architectural coatings, caulks, sealants, and elastomeric coatings
  • Follow detailed formulation directions, written test methods, and coordinating testing and equipment needs to meet project timelines
  • Document laboratory work in notebook
  • Communicate effectively with project leaders, peers, and team members on laboratory results



  • Minimum Associate degree in a technical discipline
  • Three or more years’ similar work experience preferred
  • Familiarity with safe work practices involving industrial chemicals
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Strong communication skills required
