Staff Reliability Engineer
This position reports directly to the Maintenance and Mechanical Integrity Manager. Peers include Maintenance department supervisor/planners, engineers of various disciplines (including project, process, instrument, electrical, & environmental engineers), and maintenance craft personnel.
Key Activities and responsibilities
- Identify, develop scope, and implement continuous improvement activities & projects.
- Maintain the SAP/PM CMMS
- Maintain and develop activities in support of the corporate Mechanical Integrity standard which include pressure vessels, storage tanks, pressure relieving devices, emergency shutdown systems, controls, and rotating equipment
- Equipment failure analysis and troubleshooting
- Other duties assigned
* Interface with project engineering on capital projects
* Equipment criticality assessments with maintenance strategies to meet production and HES goals
* Conduct analyses and prepare reports on plant equipment reliability KPIs on periodic basis
* Manage or assist the coordination and supervision of project field activities
* Predictive Maintenance activities including lubrication, infrared, vibration analysis, etc.
Required Education/Qualifications /Work experience
This position requires a minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related engineering degree, with 3-5 years relevant experience. (2-3 years of experience for internal candidate who has successfully completed the Arkema Developing Engineer Program. Must demonstrate supervisory and leadership ability. Working knowledge of project-related fields, such as piping, instrumentation, fixed & rotating equipment, civil/structural, etc. In-depth understanding of environmental, OSHA, PSM regulations, and technical documentation & control requirements. Familiarity with industry codes and standards (recommended and generally accepted good engineering practices or RAGAGEP) as well as familiarity with SAP/PM software a plus. Predictive maintenance experience such as vibration analysis, infrared, ultrasonic, etc a plus. Six Sigma Greenbelt certification a plus.
