Job Summary: The Quality Improvement Specialist at Arkema’s Calvert City site is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implementing quality improvement projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Improvement Initiatives: Lead and manage quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing defects, and improving process efficiency.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends, root causes of quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to quality.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for employees on quality improvement methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Audits and Inspections: Perform regular quality audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality improvement projects, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to implement quality improvement initiatives and resolve quality issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Science, or similar degree will be considered with experience in a similar role within chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality improvement or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in quality improvement tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean), excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Personal Attributes: Attention to detail, proactive, team-oriented, and capable of leading and influencing cross-functional teams.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require occasional travel and the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to chemicals and industrial equipment.
