Job Summary:
The Laborer/Light Equipment Operator at Arkema’s Calvert City site is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of the facility. This role involves operating light equipment, assisting with maintenance activities, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate light equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and other machinery as required.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.
- Maintenance Support: Assist maintenance teams with routine and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including waste disposal, sweeping and mopping.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. College graduate preferred
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Ability to operate light equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of maintenance procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
