Job Summary:

The Laborer/Light Equipment Operator at Arkema’s Calvert City site is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of the facility. This role involves operating light equipment, assisting with maintenance activities, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate light equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and other machinery as required.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.
  • Maintenance Support: Assist maintenance teams with routine and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Site Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including waste disposal, sweeping and mopping.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.  College graduate preferred
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to operate light equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Basic understanding of maintenance procedures.
    • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Work Environment:

  • Industrial setting with exposure to machinery and equipment.
  • Adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
