About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Marketing Manager to drive Arkema Canada’s growth within the Fluorogases Business Unit. This role is pivotal in both Business Development and Account Management, ensuring the expansion and success of our products in the Canadian market. Reporting directly to the Sales Canadian Director and matrixed to the Sales & Global Key Account Manager based in the USA, this position is based in our Burlington office.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Sales Account Management

 

  • Promote and sell products/applications to assigned customers and distributors.
  • Provide ongoing technical and commercial support to customers.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for key accounts.
  • Maintain detailed customer profiles and foster relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Prepare sales presentations, contracts, and commercial proposals.
  • Propose and implement improvements to optimize customer operations.
  • Promote Responsible Care practices with customers.

 

Business Development

 

  • Identify and develop new market opportunities for Arkema’s products in Canada.
  • Lead development projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Conduct frequent customer meetings to build trust and strong relationships.
  • Perform market research and competitive analysis.
  • Define and execute technical service requirements to support business development.

 

Marketing and Communication

 

  • Participate in trade shows and industry conferences.
  • Write articles, give presentations, and represent Arkema at events.
  • Identify growth opportunities at the Business Unit level.

 

Reporting and Internal Communication

 

  • Utilize Arkema CRM to support and report activities.
  • Prepare monthly activity reports and deliver presentations to management.
  • Collaborate with peers across various Business Units, R&D, Sales, and Business Development groups.

 

Required Education / Qualifications / Work experience :

 

  • Minimum of ten years of experience in Business Development or Technical Sales, preferably in the Chemical Industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Polymers, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. MBA or MS is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-driven.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-functional team environment.
  • Strong customer focus and familiarity with sales tools.
  • Ability to acquire new technical knowledge and apply it effectively.
  • French language skills are a plus.
