Job Title: Process Operator
|

This position reports to the shift supervisor. There are no direct/indirect reports.
|
Job dimensions
|
Responsible for the operation of process equipment for the manufacture various epoxidized soybean oil products.
|
Key Activities and responsibilities
|
Operations (80%)
- Operation of process equipment and monitoring of process indicators
- Conducts environmental inspections and required emergency response
- Follows documented process procedures and completes required paperwork properly and timely
- Performs accurate in-process analysis of product quality
- Issues safe work permits
- Completes monthly PMs
- Proficient use of Arkema systems (DCS, Historical Data, Maintenance programs, email)
- Communicates pertinent process information to co-workers and management
- Acquire required boiler license(s) as soon as possible within four year wage progression period
- Acquire general operating knowledge of the Blooming Prairie plant boiler
- Conducts boiler water analysis and boiler spot checks as required
Other duties (20%)
- Drives a forklift as needed
- Maintains good housekeeping of work areas
- Other duties as assigned

|
- Follows company HES policies, standards & requirements
- Supports BBS process by performing observations
- Supports Loss Control policy, AIMS, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems
- Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
- Participates in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
- Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents
- HSEQ: Ensure that all incidents are reported and appropriately investigated and corrective actions implemented. Ensure that all department members follow required HESQ training. Demonstrate commitment to all loss control matters through high visibility and actions

Required Education/Qualifications /Work experience
|
- HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing; chemical plant experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of MS office
- Able to climb ladders and work outside in all weather conditions,
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE including SCBA respirator
- Able to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule
